Thanks for doing all these reports Clive - Agree with pretty much all your assessments.

Shame about Charlie he definitely took his foot of the gas and didn't keep himself in tip top condition.

Your reports throughout the season are a joy to read and the humour brings a smile in even the most frustrating periods.

Enjoy the summer with some cold Peroni's in the sunshine and to think its only nine weeks and we can do it all over again......

I’m not a fan of any young player represented by an avaricious agent, we’ve been bitten here a few times before so you start to wonder what Armstrong is really about.

He’s got a great opportunity here as things stand but think the club should ask him to break the link if he wants first team games.

I was on a podcast the other week doing player ratings for the season and found Dykes one of the hardest ones to rate. I think until October he was probably a B but since then he's done next to nothing and more like a E so hard to find where he sits overall.

Always love reading these end of term reports though, brilliant as ever Clive.

Gray for me was the toughest. A-grade level stats, D-grade level attitude and effort levels.

I'll allow Dykes this year but he's going to start pissing me off soon.

Good to have it all done. Swansea Awayday, Season Preview Revisited, New Manager pieces, and then that's me literally on the beach for June.

Yeah I think I did Gray 6/10 and Austin/Dykes both 5 due to the number of goals he scored but don't remember coming away from a game thinking he played well very often if at all.

I cannot fathom that we could possibly have had Nik Nack here for half of last season and maybe all of next but instead Warbs stuck by his old mucka Gray.
Then he allows the DoF to dig the lad out for unacceptable displays.
The cherry on the cake is he eventually reverted back to previous form and gave it a big F U to Warbs serving up some utter slop

Nahki Wells would’ve lifted the place much the same as Charlie did January prior.
He can also do a job coming in from wide left.
This decision surely a big nail in Warbs coffin and when that came out I was gutted

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Thanks Clive, fantastic reads and I think you are abslutely 100% spot on with your analysis of Charlie.
While the new manager faces many challenges, there can't be a manager willing to manage at this level who wouldn't relish having Illy & Willy at their disposal.

Bare bones.

I don't think Wells would have done any better than Gray both have questionable attitudes and both don't do it consistently enough

10 out of 10 for being so honest, easy on this forum and elsewhere to take the populist position but reminding the easily taken-in that Austin ran his contract down first time round and can only blame himself for his conditioning and ill-discipline this year was the honest call.

I felt from early in the season that Austin and Gray would be the undoing of our season and Warburton, tying up maybe 80+% of our strikers wages, both had questionable attitudes over and above their bulk and off-field distractions.

Hopefully my thinking that we lost a once in decade ideal fit QPR Manager and future Director of Football is wrong and someone can work with Andy Belk to produce another competitive team next season.

Great writing as always, your Les Miserables curtain closer is still my highlight, really summed up our season and the life of an R's fan.

Thanks Clive for all the reports/previews/reviews etc, these are often the highlight of any game as a non-attender. We don't always agree of course, nor should we, it would be very bland if we did. Enjoy your summer break and hopefully recharge for another 46 + (2) games next season. As always with our little club it is guaranteed not to be dull. We don't need trophies and finals to have a fun time, we are more than capable of generating our own in-house entertainment - and that's before the players get near the pitch!

Next season I'd love to see:

Dykes find a way to stay aggressive and focused, even when he's not really feeling it.

Chair make a point of releasing the ball earlier and more often - I do think it's time for him to sort that out.

The good thing is I think they both have it in themselves to do it.
