QPR 2 - 0 Uxbridge: https://www.qpr.co.uk/fixtures/first-team/2022/qpr-v-uxbridge/?tab=report

Good to see Chair and Dickie back.

4321 apparently...planning for Willock & Chair behind a no.9?

The report almost made it sound like 4-1-2-2-1...which I guess means the full backs can bomb on and the '1' sits and makes a 'back 3' when needs be.

or something.

er... is that a temp kit with the new sponsor? or the actual one?

Bare bones.

Temp kit

Never knowingly right.

This made me chuckle:

Assume Armstrong is injured as didn't start in the 2 nil win

I went to that. It wasn't a very good game. There were the odd moments of skill and pace (from both sides actually) but it was by and large an advert for a non-League team trying to win a game by being more determined as you might expect to see in the early stages of the FA Cup. One or two of our lads did well to go past the Raynes Park Vale players as they weren't holding back with their challenges.

I was at this too. I quite enjoyed it. As you say it was competitive. I thought the Rs gave as good as they got. The football wasn’t excellent - too many sloppy final balls - but there were moments when QPR clicked going forward. A well taken second goal with the Rs lad tidily lobbing the keeper under pressure. Didn’t get his name. It was a very young team. Only person I recognised (or more accurately was pointed out to me) was Ody Alfa.

I think that was Stan Flaherty who lobbed the keeper for our second goal and as you say, it was a good finish. He was one of a few of our players who did well in the face of some robust challenges. He and a few others had a bit of character and spirit.

Does anyone know if the additional lines on the pitch are there for training purposes or for another sport?

I'd imagine that they're there for training purposes - channels/zones.

That’s what I was hoping. I guess that’s standard at most training grounds?

I know its only snippets but Shodipo, Duke-McKenna and Chair stand out in those highlights. It would be fantastic if we could get some return from all Shodipo's time spent on loan and on the treatment table.

We can only imagine what Michael would have done if he'd had Marco Ramkilde to work with.

I'd imagine so at this stage, Joe.

I see them a lot in Ireland anyway.

Full-backs pushed up at the same time, men running in behind, through balls along the deck.

I feel sorry for the other 23 teams in our division.

I was ruminating on the formation. There’s different ways to interpret this but at kick off I see it as a 4-1-4-1 (if you want to break it down further it’s a 4-1-2-2-1 or even a 4-1-2-3) and then attacking we become a 2-1-2-5 have it!

What is this sorcery ?
We watch a training session and then see exactly the same thing in a game .

The Rs are going up
