Watching him at the O2 tonight and can't quite believe my ears.

Great first half and in the interval has some classic ska playing. And then? Liquidator by the Harry J All Stars, ie the Chelsea song.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

Not sure I’ve ever seen a comic be as Jekyll and Hyde as Sean Lock. His stand up was awful but I loved him on 8 out of 10 cats.

similar here, always loved his TV work and then saw him locally in a fairly small theatre and he was really poor.

Ah well there you go then - only ever saw him do stand up and get heckled off.

Saw Bill Bailey at the O2 last night, gave it a 6 out of 10, seen him twice before and they were much better gigs, the material this time seemed all over the place and the continual use of the opera singer sort of didn't work for me. Saw Frank Skinner the other week in the West End and he was superb, really hit the spot.

I saw him at Latitude a couple of years ago (Bill that is).

I was expecting great things as he was on the main stage rather than the comedy tent.

Really disappointing unfortunately. All his material seemed stale, like he was just dredging up old stuff, whereas other comedians were doing current jokes. Some comedians just tread water after a while or stop being funny because you have to stay relevant. John Cleese I'm looking at you.

Just got home from seeing him at the BIC, thought he was excellent and the opera singer was fabulous too!

I thought Sean Lock was funny.

Enjoyed his Lockipedia show.
Not so much the Purple Van Man show.

As for our Bill, his Musical stuff borders on genius, but the comedy/joke bits bewilder me.
