Norwich away on Saturday after they play at home on a Tuesday hardly seems fair, so asked co-pilot how many times each championship team has a Wed away followed by a Sat away:

QPR: 2
Ipswich: 2
Blackburn: 2
Charlton: 2
Cov: 1
Bristol City: 1
Derby: 1
Hull: 1
Southampton: 1
15 other teams: 0

I haven't checked this manually and we know AI can often be wrong but...This seems a bit much - surely they can produce something more balanced than this given the known drop off for 3 game weeks ending away.

It was a combination of late travel back from Blackburn - some players posted they were at the training ground at 3am on Thursday morning, so assume no or little training Thursday, then short session Friday morning before travelling on Friday afternoon.

Norwich were at home Tuesday so an extra days to recover/train without travel.

I think I said earlier in the thread it absolutely does have an impact.

But I’m not having it for that slop. I don’t care if they were playing away on Mars yesterday. There were some disgusting performances today. Some of those players took their foot off the gas after a couple of decent results and phoned it in.

Look I know we're all p1ssed off at losing to Norwich but six points from nine is still a decent return.

it is, but like the sheff united game its points dropped , the yet again two stupid substituions cost us a possible win there , not saying it was nailed on but bringing vale and frey on at brammall lane was nearly as stupid as bringing frey on at carrow road , nothing agsint frey and him winning a place in the squad lottery for this season , but come on hes not gonna turn a game is he !

I know - but I still reckon Stephan brought on Frey as a form of protest; or he's still trying to gauge what Frey can give to the cause (basically, not much).

And had he lost the previous two games I doubt he'd have tried that.

He must have seen enough of Frey by now to know he’s done. Perhaps he thinks/knows Kone and Kolli are going to AFCON. Nobody sane is picking Frey for his potential to get back into the game. We’d be better off chucking Dunne up there (or the £3m striker on the bench ideally).

Apparently Cote d'Ivoire announce their AFCON squad next week. I know Kone was in their last squad, but I suppose no guarantee he'll be selected again?

I'm assuming similar for Kolli and Algeria given his lack of game time with us (and our handling of him is still mystifying).

Sorry, but Redkapp aside this is such an absurd narrative.

No sane manager is going to deliberately throw away points by making a 'gesture' to the board when he's quite capable of making his views known the normal way, ie in a meeting.

I know - but I can't see any other reason, especially when Kone was left sat on the bench!

Possibly Frey is showing more than Kolli in training, Stefan said Kolli tended to have a good week, then a not so good week. Frey always looks good in the training clips they put out for what ittle that's worth.

So he's a good trainer, but a crap player the manager plays anyway? Yippee!
