I'm the same age as you so unfortunately not. My dad was there, 11 days before his first child was born. Apparently he didn't come home for three days!

I was fortunate enough to have attended the game and also did the walk from Askew Road to Wembley joining thousands of other Rs fans doing the same. Walked alongside the group carrying the coffin just before Wembley. Tears of joy at the end!

I was there - terrible view from behind the goal although I think all the goals went in at our end. I wasn't the seasoned drinker I am now and had “a shout at the pavement” outside the Smuts that evening. They had the highlights on the box in the Smuts and we cheered like hell as the goals went in - almost as much as being at the game earlier.

I drove down from Suffolk. Great day. Watched it on the box with my wife (who I got out of bed) when I got back. She wasn't thrilled, but as always regarding Rangers, understood.

I was there as an 8 year old, going on 9, with all my family. Standing next to a West Brom supporter and 2-0 down I was feeling very dejected - but I can still remember, as if it was yesterday, my Dad saying at half time not to worry because we can come back and win this.
Great celebrations at full-time, then all round to my Uncle’s in the evening to watch it again on Match of the Day because we didn’t have a telly.
I still have the original program, bought on the day, now complete with rusty staples. Rangers did a 50th anniversary reproduction of the League Cup Final program which was free with the match-day program on 4 March 2017. I always laugh when I look at it because they obviously made the copy from an original program and they managed to accurately reproduce the rust marks made by staples.
My father was there along with my grandfather, all of my uncles and probably more cousins than I have ever met, I was 11 months old.
I have the program, I may even have two, but my younger brother who took over the program collection when our father passed away, brags that he has the 1967 League Cup Final program in his loft.
I cant wait to see his face when he looks for it.

I was there. Absolute magic. Was brought up on a diet of QPR thanks to my dad who took me to games from the age of about 4. Mainly youth team games..because of the crowds ( !?) with occasional treats to see the first team..one game at White City. Started going to all the home games in 1965..so Rangers were my first love in my early teens. I feel blessed to be part of such a great club in so many ways, but it’s the joy of meeting others with the same affliction that’s the best bit..like on here and so many other places. As for that day..I always thought we would win ( helped being the best team in division 3 by a mile) plus some brilliant nights under the lights in earlier rounds. I did a write up ( my own version of Clive!) which helped me win the English prize at school, beating luminaries such as Michael Portillo! ). I’ve still got it..perhaps a nostalgic read is called for? Rodneeeeee Rodneeeee etc.

Similar tale, I missed it by 7weeks…my Dad arrived home via the Bush gone midnight with a rosette for my Mum, which he proceeded to slap upon her distended stomach (i.e. me)
Imagine that went well!!

I was there with my Dad, Auntie Rose and Uncle John. Best football day of my life.
Was there with my late Dad & my brother who decided to become a Spurs fan, behind the goal where all 5 were scored albeit not like LR so yards away. I still remember what we ate as Mum had made soft rolls with Ham! My brother cried at the end, a Copper asked him if he was alright? He said “Yes I’m just happy “ shame he turned into a Spud!

I was there as a 14yo with my younger brother. Thought we were getting stuffed at HT. Great comeback.
Was also at Wembley the year before for 2 World CUp games. The 2-0 win over Mexico and the SF against Portugal.

There as a 12 year old.. my older brother who still goes, that is him coming upto 70 years a R. Our uncle and I think his friend??... we never talked about it in those days and friends his friends who always went
My brother walked from the Bush but my uncle and his friend took me in his car. I was so peed by that, my mum wouldn't let me walk it . The day honestly was a blur and i remember not seeing a great deal of the game as I was quite short at 12.
HT was horrendous I can remember my brother and his mate were really fed up, and my uncle saying let's just enjoy the day, we don't often get days like this, as long as we don't fold the 2nd half
I did manage to see Hunt marauding down the middle and then lost it in the penalty box.. an Lazarus head ... and then uproar totally uproar
Took me a few seconds to realise we had scored, and I just stood there and finally flung myself at my brother, who was crying.... never seen him cry before, which both scared me and made me love him even more
Then my uncle was lifting me up and hugging me, and he was crying ... and so I decided it was my turn... the sight and sounds of that day will never leave me... the pure high of joy and sharing that with my family was awesome
And that is it.. 59 years ago... Still waiting to win a cup again..

It was my first QPR match. My Dad was gifted tickets by a business acquaintance who usually gave him tickets to the Rugby League Cup Final. In '67 he got tickets for the League Cup Final instead. He wasn't interested so gave them to me. The rest is history... or something similar.
