I think we all agreed not to post articles from paywalls to protect other journos incomes etc...

But there are many websites you can use, which open up articles for you if you do a quick search.

He’s one of us so that will do for me. Remember being at Millwall away on a Tuesday night and we had Michael Gove by us. He’s definitely Rangers.

We must have some of the worst "celebrity" fans.
Didn't Victoria Cohens brother also go to QPR? Seems to have dropped off telly since his outburst in the Waitrose in house magazine, oh well...

We're a team of extremes.

For every Mick Jones there is a John Christie.

Didn't Gove stop coming to LR after Glenn Matlock gave him sustained and sweary abuse in The SA despite fact Gove had his kids with him? He now takes them to Chelsea I believe.

Sorry if this is not correct but it IS something I've been told by some sensible and credible people.

Still, seems it's very important to have the correct world view or you'll be categorised as the "worst" sort of fan apparently.

If it's acceptable to tell Les Ferdinand to fck off, I don't think Michael Gove should be off limits.

Giles Coren (not Cohen). Walked past him at the top of Loftus Road after the Watford game so he's still around.

By chance, was having a chat with a theosopher this afternoon, largely about the rise of generations who have zero tolerance of those with differing views and the mortal dangers this presents to society.

As you were.

I wish people were intolerant enough of my views to pay me to write them to a deadline once a week in The Spectator.

As you mentioned theosophy, you have to wonder what some of those mentioned in this thread would make of its ethical principles of kindness, respect for all and universal brotherhood?

Alan Coren (the dad) erstwhile editor of Punch was a big fan and thus indoctrinated his kids.

Giles is definitely avid but VCM claims no interest in football but if pushed is one of us, culturally at least.

I thought I'd heard a clip of her on Six Music talking to Pete Doherty about Devon White?

Giles' mates are the ones who've turned the Pocket Watch into The Hawthorn with decent food, he's in there pre-match (according to his column, I'm not stalking).

Yeah. I think she’s more of a fan than she sometimes lets on.

Intolerance is far greater among older generations than younger, as any study of relevant polling will reveal.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

I don't know what 'relevant polls' you're referring to, but it's certainly not my experience. None of my friends' kids - mostly late teens to early 20s - can bear to hear an opinion that differs from their orthodoxy. They literally put their fingers in their ears, or start humming, or shouting, rather than engage in a discussion about alternatives to their world view. It's extremely disappointing/shocking.

Poll: Who is your player of the season?

It would be interesting to see the framing of the polls, if they are asking people whether they are intolerant or not, then that's not objective, by any means.
I think, possibly, when we are young we are intolerant of other people's views, while as we get older we are more likely to be intolerant of things. I'm totally intolerant of people eating apples anywhere near me, whereas these days I couldn't really give a flying one if you support Chelsea.

In this world, it is not how you get on with those you agree with that matters most. That's the easy stuff. It is how you get on with those that you disagree with. Perhaps we could prompt to think about this, not just QPR fans, but a few world leaders.

Giles Coren sits near me, just over the aisle in S Block, comes to nost home games. Bought his pal Gary Lineker to the Coventry game back in January.
