Miscasting 15:01 - Apr 13 with 9221 viewsE17hoop

I saw an episode of Law and Order Criminal Intent the other day. It was a later series when Vincent D'onofrio wasn't doing every episode. The lead detective? Jeff Goldblum. Overacting, trying to take the limelight from the collective.

What are the worst examples of miscasting that stand out to you from film and TV?

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

Watched Saipan the other day. Steve Coogan as Mick McCarthy shouldn’t have happened. Watchable film though and McCarthy/Keane aren’t easy characters to play. The guy who played Keane was excellent in a film which essentially isn’t about much.

Honorary mentions for the small parts they gave to play the roles of Clinton Morrison, Steven Reid and Niall Quinn.

He was so shit in the UK remake of Wallander.

The actor in the original Nordic version was brooding, restless, fk8ed up etc.

Colin Firth's character was nothing of the sort. Looked as if the most trouble he'd had in his like was losing his straw boater at the Henley Regatta.

Also Aussie Russell Crowe playing Nottinghamshire’s finest in Robin Hood. Whatever his accent was it was nowhere near Nottingham…

I thought Brosnan was quite entertaining in that . Probably for the wrong reasons.,
