We really cocked up not making him coach. So depressing.

Maybe but not on today’s evidence. Ok, so they won, etc. But they were terrible, mostly and we should have buried them at 2-1. You would never guess they were chasing a playoff spot. Until the last 10, when we sh4t ourselves. As usual.

I need a SAGA. What’s the SAGA? It’s ….. Queen’s Park Rangers.

Talk of Eustace being targeted to replace Fat Frank at Coventry if he ends up back at the scum.

You do realise that John would have left us for Derby anyway? It's his club.

Never knowingly right.

Agreed. Not his best day.

I thought that he set up well against us form the kick-off, but we started well, went ahead and then he panicked. Had he stayed firm, it might have been a different game.

He’s an excellent manager. Dragged numerous clubs up the league punching above their weight. To have a team with Dionne Warwick and Tyson Fury at centre-half on the verge of the playoffs is remarkable really.

I got absolute vitriol on here for suggesting Eustace was being lined up to be our next manager when Warburton was still in charge, just, and be a good appointment.

Agreed but you don't get consistency from any Championship team, let alone one outside the play offs in late April. And yet they won and they could still make the play offs, so he's clearly done a decent job overall.

Its a long time ago. We made a mistake. Not worth keep bringing up though. I couldngo on about how we should have stuck with Warburton which was my view at the time. Lets move on.

Yes he has proven decent.

However today his Derby side were extremely.fortunate not to get totally spanked by a decent Julien Stephan Rangers team !!

Small margins.

We hammered them today. Absolute travesty of a result. I see no evidence that he would have been any better than what we have currently, or Marti. Marginal at best. Move on…

They must have put a fair amount of money into that strike force. Szmodics, BBD and Morris won't come cheap. Better than most front threes in the league.

Two of them are on loan. So, yes that forward three is dangerous, although today they looked mostly well contained.

I suspect Eustace got em in to ensure they did not have a relegation fight again. Eustace is such a good manager that he can turn them into playoff contenders and hes done this before with Blackburn and Brum.

This is not new terrority for him.
Quality manager.

There's always some with strong opinions but my recollection is that people were generally pretty positive about the idea of Eustace at the time?

He’s realised that putting out a team who wouldn’t look out of place in the back row of a rugby team is the way forward.
They’re effective but not very good to watch .
Even he did get the job after Warburton , by the law of averages he would have been sacked or left two years ago .
Would have , could have , should have .
