The mood on the forum is so extreme. If we’d won three of the last four (all it needed was a bit of interest), everyone would be delighted. We didn’t win them because we checked out. The squad is there, pending a couple of additions and better fitness team next season.
I’m looking forward to next season (provided Williams and Co go) and provided Nourry doesn’t pi$$ anyone off and then need to rely on them (hopefully he’s learned from his inexperience of recent years). [Post edited 3 May 12:39]

Yeah you are right. If we hadn’t ended up with 2 draws and 4 losses in our last 6 games we’d all feel a bit better….but 2 points from the last 18 isn’t something to celebrate is it? At any other club the manager would get the bullet for those results and performances. We’ve been fcking awful. |  |

To be fair we were very good for 60+ minutes against derby but yes, most of the other recent performances haven't even been phoned in. More faxed on thermo print paper. |  |

I don't disagree with that Hastings, but a lot of your optimism is based on getting rid of Williams, and there's no sign that's on the cards. Not if allowing him an hour to explain himself is anything to go by.
I can't remember anymore how he and Nourry are mates (I'll blame the bank holiday), but everything looks like those two are wrapped up in their own approach and anyone who doubts it is an idiot who lacks scientific knowledge - ignoring the fact that if a concept holds water you should be able to explain it in its simplest terms and not need to hide behind manipulated stats e.g. dicking about with your sampling strategy.
But I do agree the squad has more potential than it has for quite a while, and that fundamental issue needs sorted. |  | | |
