Totally agree. Not sure if they still do it but Brentford only changed one of their kits each season. Like a new away kit one year but the same home kit and then a new home kit the following year with the previous season's away kit. Seemed a fair compromise.
For me, design a traditional blue and white and red and black hooped kit with hooped sleeves. Make it so good everyone wants it, keep it for a few years and if necessary release some special event tops for those who collect them along the way.
It costs enough to watch the team fight for 15th or 16th place each season without having to fork out for Bertie Bassett pink and black halves and puke mustard away kits each year. | |

The last home kit was nice. IMO, there should always be a white base with three blue hoops. Happy to add on red trim, or any other highlights, but you they shouldn't mess with the core design. 2020/21 is a great example of a classic home QPR kit. |  | | |

But our club shop manager will put the designs together and they go back and forward with Errea who will add their tweaks / suggestions before it goes to being made. So let’s see. I would love us to go back to Adidas. Look at their Spezial range with clubs like Forest, Villa and Newcastle. Apparently not great with clubs of our size. I must admit I’m not a fan of Errea kits. So many other better brands out there. Really wished we found another brand. | | | |

Whatever we do for the away kits, I just don't want it to be plain. Plain kits are soooooo boring. We're lucky to be a club with a non-plain home kit, so make the away kit interesting as well.
Stripes, halves, quarters, hoops, diagonals...not really bothered. But patterns are interesting, make it a good colour combo, and you have a banging kit. |  | | |

Errea have been OK but not much more than that.
I'd love us to go with Macron, they always use nice material and usually have decent designs. | |

As much as the majority view on here is that away should be Dennis colours, these more left field shirts do sell a lot more.
I may be misremembering, but the all pink one from the Eze years was a huge seller, and this recent liquorice allsorts shirt seems pretty popular in the stands.
I'd personally like to see the 1998/99 Ericsson yellow shirt make a comeback for our next away one. |  | | |

The silver/black away kit for two years running was a nice kit - the main problem is that the major association is with Steve Morrow and relegation to the third tier.
If the standard idea now is to ensure three kits (as is de rigeur since the mid 00's onwards) and you want to keep hoops, then effectively that means Dennis is a no-go as two kits which are diametric opposites on the colour wheel leaves no _sensible_ opportunities for a third kit.
With that level of base cunning and desire for petty cash in mind, we could reasonably see something like Blue/White hoops (natch), Black/Yellow (oh golly, does it clash with Watford, Norwich and arguably Millwall, Portsmouth and Cardiff? Oops!) and a third of something like a Darlington-esque criminal jumpsuit or the early 00's return as none of the social media kids have any memories of the late 90's decay. | | | |
