this really winds me up, so the city-QPR game was voted the best premier league game ever , but you would think we just turned up and played no part in it or what the consequences could have been for us if the stoke-Bolton game had been different

Really irks me too we get virtually no credit whatsoever.
We were battered that day by them and really should have been 3 or more down by half time. Nerves got the better of them and some great defending & goalkeeping kept us in it.
We never gave up though, if City wanted to win it (and the title) they had to earn it. Barton deserved to go but so should have Tevez. It rallied us and we took advantage of their nerves especially after Lescott misjudged and allowed Cisse in to score a great equaliser. That rattled them further then we took the lead and I can fully understand why Mancini was angry their player didn't take one for the team and get at least a yellow to foul Traore just before he put in an exquisite cross for Mackie to score.
O'Neil did it for us in the play off final.
Man Utd fans think we threw the game at the end. I was there and we most certainly did not. Fk 'em.
All the media go on about is Aguero. I don't blame Man City, it's the media that are so one sided about it.
edit: yes, thanks Antti, it was Tevez that I meant. Can understand why he didn't get sent off on the day but should have got a retrospective ban, but the FA/PL can't be upsetting the newly crowned Champions now can they.

Tevez should have been off, not Aguero! Didn't even get a retrospective ban for punching barton in the head!
No love for Barton whatsoever, but his punishment was ludicrously over the top, and even more so given Tevez started the whole thing and totally got away with it. |  |

I still find myself kind of annoyed about that game.
We're like the butt of one of the most famous defeats ever. I'd prefer to be remembered as having pulled off an amazing result to stay up against all odds.

The way some of our players collapsed to the floor when the winner was scored showed that it could never have been fixed.Even though the fans at the other end knew we were safe,they couldn't have influenced the game from 100 yards away.
A day that could have gone so horribly wrong turned out to be so right.It was just a shame that I was only watching on tv.My daughter had a football cup final on the morning of the match and I had to give away our tickets.She saved 2 penalties in the shootout and was named the player of the match too.
