Bladerunner (the original film)... The combination of Ridley Scotts cinamatography and the soundtrack from Vangelis is epic.
The whole film is iconic! I still have not seen the sequel.

Sound of Music is not exactly my thing but the opening is cinematically hugely impressive (hence all the parodies).

If you skip past the credits to 1.53 in the first clip, Laurence of Arabia packs in two great opening scenes in one film.

The opening scenes from Frenzy. This clip is just the credits. Afterwards is the crowd scene followed by the body in the river. Then to Bob Rusks market stall I think. Fantastic film!

Forget the sequels. The original blew me away when i first saw it at the cinema.
That tracking shot and bullet time has been copied loads and done to death now but this was the first. Wicked soundtrack as well..
Amazing film at the time.
