If Freeman is going I’d rather take a chance on Eze and Chair to fill that role. If you could guarantee 35 games from Williams then fair enough but I see a lot of risk for the potential reward there.

I get the issues with injuries and agree other positions are more of a priority but if Freeman and Luongo go it would leave us a bit short on experience. Much as I want to see Chair and Eze playing we made the mistake of overplaying Ebere last season. Happy for the manager and DOF to decide as they know the costs and the availability of replacements and who, from the current squad, is planned for each position etc. | | | |

The problem with the Cousins signing was it looked sound at the time and was made for all the right reasons. Young (development potential and resale value), solid track record (3-odd seasons ever present at Charlton, a decent footballing side, POTY in one if I'm not mistaken, England underage caps), filling a position we'd not filled since Derry (tackling box to box midfielder with the odd goal).
I've seen glimpses of all that and some absolute park football shite (often in the same phase of play) and I'm genuinely mystified why it's not worked out for him at Rangers. We'll release him and he'll go on and become the Iniesta of league 1.
Hey ho, all transfers are a gamble and if 50% of ours pan out I'll consider that a success. But don't sign some thieving shìtcùnt because they have a champions league medal, or can juggle a ball in front of the chairman or will punt a few more shirts on South Korea. |  | | |

exactly, laughable that he's brave enough to come out with issues about things as regular as loneliness - lest we forget footballers are people too - and be pigeonholed away with 'issues'.
combine that with the fact so many of our players over the years have had chronic injury problems over the year and suffered more than they should do mentally because of exclusion - Faurlin, Mackie, Grant Hall, etc.

if you were hiring someone to work for you, and you knew they suffered from mental illness (be it depression, alcoholism, eating disorder, etc), would you not be less inclined to hire them? its a terrible thing to say, but i do think most employers would prefer to hire someone who didnt have these issues (if they had full knowledge)
in the harsh world of football, where fans can be absolutely brutal, its so much harder if you struggle to cope with anxiety depression etc
having said all of that, showing some signs of doubt when you're injured doesnt make you mentally weak... nor does it mean you have mental health issues
and i agree that this mentality is why people probably keep their issues to themselves | | | |

Honest question. Is QPR an especially tough club to play for, or do we think that because we're its long-suffering supporters? Don't fans of most teams (beyond the top half dozen in the Prem) feel the same?
Finances are tight at the moment but we can pay our players. Loads of ex-Rs speak highly of their time at LR, and are happy to talk about it. We change managers like pairs of socks, but so do the majority of clubs in the FL. We're also situated in one of the most culturally vibrant cities in the world, that attracts almost anyone in their twenties with enough money to enjoy it. What's to dislike?
