I was watching an interview with him a while ago about his life which was fascinating, he's right up there with the best.
| My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic. |

He said tonight “If I knew when I wrote this next song that I would be playing for the rest of my life I would have written another one instead”

Have seen several from different genres over the last few years, Albert Lee still probably plays more notes than any other, Ralph McTell, Wiz Jones, Clapton, Andy Fairweather Low, Mick Taylor, Carlos Santana, Chris Spedding all well over sixty, some 70-75 and all still playing as well as ever. I didn't see him live and don't know how well he was playing but the late Glen Campbell still managed to play on his last tour, even though he was in a fairly advanced stage of dementia.
