Today's goals.

Eze's strike. What a hit and he almost repeated it. 2 good finishes from Wells. Amazing ball from Leistner.

Howler from Joe but that may now sink in. Bad defending for their 2nd. Barbet again ball watching.

But... 3 points. Should have been 5 or 6 and we move on.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

How did Lumley play for the rest of the match? He certainly has one or two calamitous moments a game. Still not really the same keeper since he was kicked in the face at Villa last year. Not sure there is anyone a great deal better waiting to take his place though.

Lovely finishes from Wells. He looks to have got his confidence back. Scored 2 for his country in midweek as well apparently.

He was just as prone to poor judgement in the first half of last season, when he was keeping clean sheets. But he had three months of astounding good luck, when none of his misjudgements cost him. I used to have my heart in my mouth every time he came for a high ball.

He was pretty lucky. Maybe his luck's run out. I'm not a huge fan he's pretty mouthy but doesn't always back it up with the required quality.
Shows how good Smithies was. We'd be a shoe in for top 6 with him in goal.

He made an excellent save to preserve our 3 points in the second half which, IMO, made up for the goal he cost us. He also did very well to deal with a major cock up from the BFG which I thought was going to cost us a goal.

The grass is always greener.

I wasn't at the game so it's good to hear that he made up for it later on. Good for him.
