While I hate the football authorities as much as anyone, is there actually any way they can legally stop someone buying a football club?

The fit and proper test just seems to be a way of pretending they're doing something about dodgy owners.

Since the Premership become a massive cash cow there is no way that all new owners will be looking to book a place in heaven.

Licence to print money and improve bank balances without taking hardly a chance that any debt will fall on those ultimately responsible.

It is the same through out the higher echelons of businesses, few chairman/directors when a company collapses ever take the brunt, those that invested in Villa must have done due dilligence on this man, if not how the fcuk did they get the funds to invest in the first place, makes you wonder how 'investors' in football clubs ever let those controlling their investment just keep using the clubs as like a game in the casino.

Money will always talk and unless it seems you have spent virtually your whole life behind bars the authorities will never stand in your way.

The football authorities have all the cards should they wish to play them. As long as they stay legal, they can put rules in place that members need to adhere to in order to stay in the Premier or Football Leagues.

They are just weak, inept organisations terrified of upsetting their members.

Can we go out yet?

I can only imagine what Ollie called him.

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'
