The last two defeats can be viewed as a team either on the beach or downed tools on the manager. We looked more like a league 2 struggling team than league 1. It doesn't seem that long ago that Swansea looked to be in trouble but now we trail them by 5 points. Some of us were confident Millwall and Hull would drop out of the play off places but after tonight's results, Hull are now 9 points clear of 7th place. They have this strange habit of losing at home and then winning away. By comparison we can't sustain any sort of challenge and we endure the same slop season after season. Time to change the club badge to snakes and ladders. Whenever we get near the top of the ladder, we jump on a snake and slide back down to where we came from.

Yeh, the club is starting to look fragmented again off and on the pitch. We've had some great moments though this season. I thought we looked a more balanced squad, our signings looked better than before and there was a bit of character to the team. The injuries have really hurt us this season. For whatever reason, its stacked up. Yes, its a bit depressing, as it looks like next season we'll be starting from scratch again. After so much potential. But theres more important things in life than QPR and this message board, so im not gonna get too down about it.

| So depressed. on 08:54 - Mar 11 with 1639 views | Jimboqpr | It’s like Groundhog Day isn’t it. Over the past decade we’ve taken every possible route to finishing 16th. We’ve had the start well and look like playoff contenders before the wheels come off route, the look like prime relegation candidates before a late surge of wins route, and this season the traditional win one, lose two, draw one mixed bag pattern with a sprinkling of thrashings thrown in. Different journeys, same boring ending. I don’t think we look balanced at all, and that’s been part of the problem for years. We’ve spent money on injury-prone centre-backs and attacking midfielders who don’t really score or assist even when they’re fit, while completely neglecting full-back, central midfield and goal keeper this season. The result is that we end up overplaying certain players because we don’t have adequate cover RND, Madsen, Burrell and Kone being obvious examples this season. At least they had a go at trying address the pace issue this season but it feels like a lot of money has been wasted on players we didn't really need. Just lazily signing players who did okay on loan here or have a agent we know, instead of doing some proper scouting and filling the massive gaps we have in key areas of the pitch. You’d think when they sit down to plan a squad the absolute bare minimum question would be: do we have at least two Championship level players for every position? Yet we never seem to manage it. We don’t even have one championship level left-back that we actually own. Not much we can do about it though really is there, other than hope our young CEO who is clearly learning on the job develops into a proper Championship CEO/DoF eventually. Maybe we can loan him out to a L1 club for a bit and bring him back in a year or two to see if hes developed? [Post edited 11 Mar 9:51]

If we had some gold, at least we could buy better players in the summer Spaceman... Regarding getting down about watching cr*p football. Currently its only a poor run of defeats. The Ainsworth era was far worse and over a much longer period. To be honest, like some others, am more bothered about our future direction under the hierarchy, and yes the players playing at the moment should be doung better, but its the same injury issues happening time and time again and the fact the people responsible for this, will keep their jobs, no matter what. The club should be talking about this and there is great anger about being told nothing about the injured players and their progress or not. Its unacceptable we are told nothing or are simply lied to. The performances could be better, of course but its the behind the scenes lies that wind me up. Just tell us the truth But remember Nourry was big on fan engagement, whatever he thinks that means - its not happening

Although I don't want us to be relegated, and don't think we'd make a good fist of it if we did, I think if we'd yo-yo'd between League One and the Championship a couple of times over the past 5 years, but were in the league position we're in now, people would be happier. But instead its just been the same drudgery in the same league with the same fixtures with the same teams for 10 years now and it is tiresome. Thinking about it, every decade since the 1960s has had what are now memorable years for the club and its history. - 1966 - 1968, probably to 1969 with the club's first taste of top flight football even if it did go very badly - 1972ish - 1977ish - pretty much *the* golden era - 1982 - 1986ish - 1993 - 1995 - granted the rest of the 90s were pretty ropey! Although 99-00 gave us a good year. - Post admin 2001-2005 was on the whole a great era for the club, certainly 2003 onwards although the 2001-02 recovery from oblivion had its good times. - 2010-11 & 2013-14 with two promotion campaigns, even if the Redknapp one was a bit with your fingers over your nose. What has the 2020s given us? The best season we ended up having overall was the one where none of us were allowed to go, and even then only the second half of it was decent.

I can’t see where we’re going to win any of the 9 games left.We have Portsmouth,Brizzle,Swansea,Derby and Watford at home.We have Leicester,Preston,Millwall and Ipswich away. Depressing indeed.

Ah come on we have to at least fluke one home win! We're getting nothing away though (maybe Preston - but then we need to get Andersen back for it).

I'm not saying that we will win any of the Bristol City, Watford & Preston games, but we will have to work hard not to get something out of those three games. I certainly don't have any hopes for the other six matches. I do struggle to envisage a win though & realise that work hard & Rangers current performances are a contradiction!

Yes it is despairingly dull playing the same teams and even more so if you keep losing to teams like Norwich and Southampton. The other issue is seeing teams come up from league 1 and getting to the Premier league like Sunderland, Ipswich, and Luton and there is every chance Coventry and maybe Wrexham will get there this season. In the meantime we are still stuck in our hole as others walk all over us. Even teams who don't go up after arriving from league 1 aggravate me. Portsmouth took 6 points off us last season, we lost both games at Derby with non performances, two goalless soul destroying slit your throat meetings with Oxford that were anti football. Then there is Charlton, they go to Sheffield Utd and win, we lose 2-0 at home to United, they win at Ipswich, we lose 4-1 at home to Town, they win at Leicester, well at least we won 4-1 at home , they win at Middlesbrough, while we lose 4-0 at home to Boro. Now that is depressing seeing a team arrive from league 1 and beat teams, Leicester excepted, that we usually lose against. People can say there was some improvement at one point this season but for me improvement will be in the form of beating sides we struggle against. If we only average 30-35% possession in games it may be enough to defeat Hull, Preston and Bristol City but it means against better sides like Boro, Ipswich, Sheffield Utd and Southampton you are more likely to lose. I think we need to double our possession stats to ever challenge at the top again. Easier said than done.
