He's been properly QPR'd hasn't he. The side that finished this game probably should start the next. At least it showed some intent. Looks like Mbengue and Cook will be missing now. It doesn't get any easier.
I don't get how he can talk about these things like he's a disengaged observer. He's the manager! He's been in charge all season! If the players perform like that in the first half, it's his team! He sounds baffled by the way they played.

You know I think they'll sack Leicester off again as it's a 3 game week and we don't do those. And then go hell for leather against Pompey. Then they think that'll be enough till August. If I was Reuben I'd be drafting up p 45's. The whole place stinks. Player welfare, methodology, whatever Betsy does. Get rid.

More impressed with Jimmy's interview to be fair.
The subtext was clear, some players not pulling their weight and they need to be dug out.
I fancy there will be a a few good rows in the next day or so.
It's all words, isn't it. Jimmy himself needs to take a long hard look in the mirror. He's so far below his own level, it's unbelievable. He continually boots the ball long down the pitch to hand over possession time and time again. He looks about as fit as a sack of potatoes and, worst of all, I've seen absolutely no sign of leadership from him on the pitch. He needs to sort himself out, and then start shouting at a few players because that performance tonight, and on Sunday, was absolute dross and an insult to the fans, especially the ones who travel.

Good interview and I am behind Jimmy.
Interesting that he alludes to more clarity being needed. If the players are 'honest', as he and JS (repeatedly) say, then something needs to be looked at because it is not manifesting itself onto the pitch.
By clarity I hope he means that more needs to be done in terms of the players buying into and implementing the game plan/effort. From what I saw today several of the players clearly were not 100% committed to the plan/cause and the disconnect rubbed off on others whose standards/performances dropped.
I know we are short of players but the management team need to test all of the players resolves now. I don't care how senior or talented they might be. If they are not 100% committed to the cause now then get them out and put others in their places even if it means we have 4, 5, 6 Devt Squad players out there.

He’s had enough. He’s getting more and more exasperated.
Reading between the lines you’ve got a manager saying the players aren’t putting the effort in (lack of intensity / energy etc) and the Captain saying they’re not clear in what they’re supposed to be doing. We can all see with our own eyes who’s right.
I’d back the manager and get rid of anyone sacking it off. You absolutely cannot have the players dictating who’s in charge. Get on with it whether you like it or not. Who do they think they are? If they throw one manager under the bus they’ll do it to the next. This is starting to look like the Beale season.
Edit: I think his half time substitutions speak volumes.

Outside 'noise' x 2 Lack of clarity Individual effort Key injuries
It's all in there, one way or another. He also seemed to get a bit emotional for a second.
Total speculation, but I think there's been communication(s) since the Madsen injury on when players are going to be coming back (the autumn), what the target is (get players shifted at all costs, bring youngsters through at all costs), and who has control over this (The Chucklebrother Illuminati who are increasingly unpopular).
Any purpose and sense of control has been taken from the players, they can see that's also the case for the manager, and many of them have downed tools It seems, and is, fragile and pathetic for us normal working stiffs but it's back to the old 'look after yourself' mantra.

Got much more from Jimmys interview than I did , JS. To paraphrase, “sometimes lack of clarity can look like lack of effort”. Is really very damning of the head coach and his staff.
If this was being played out in the premier league under the gaze of the premier league media and all that comes with it , the over riding message would be he’s lost the dressing room.
Some of those players need to be accountable too though. “We need to dig each other out more as team mates”.
I think 1 or 2 senior players have let rip at a few . Anybody catch Cook tearing strips off Varane after about 10 minutes.
First line of JS’s post match interview he used the term “embarrassing”.
It’s the only thing he got right all evening.

Was interesting watching Cook last night. What a pro - treated worse than dirt for a club he must surely now care very little for, and he showed more passion and commitment than anyone else in a Celtic shirt.
Yet I remember he used to get criticised for finger pointing when he was captain as though he was some sort of blame shifter. More like he has standards.
Apart from Jimmy, our other player with this sort of commitment is currently driving a tractor towards the top half of the table. Brilliant.

I mean , when you take a step back , and listen to the head coach explain that he needs to try alternatives in midfield , alluding to putting Edwards in midfield on Sunday , and then suddenly remembering our long standing midfielder is having a whale of a time out at Norwich , it becomes clear that we are utterly clueless across the board at this club.
I’m not saying Field is some sort of Roy Keane, but his ‘mismanagement’ is rather an indictment of where we are now . Field, Cook, Nardi, Chair, Kolli …all treated pretty poorly in my eyes and maybe that’s part of the players discontentment too. Maybe the squad actually is sticking together in that respect and rebelling against the treatment of some? Maybe not . But something has happened . No question

Agree, watching the lot of them in the first half last night and in the Boro game they look like they have basically given up with the current management set up. Suspect that Stephan is already on his way out when the season is done and the players are just reflecting that situation. This does not help ths supporters who have paid good money to travel last night basically let down by apathy from our team. On Sam Field yes he has been a great servant at our club, but his future at QPR was finished at the Coventry debacle last August, also Morgan has gone backwards under this management this season.

Can be read a number of ways, the problem as I see it is without Madsen and without functioning wide players / pace, we dont really know how to play through midfield. We know Saito's English is not good. Gos only knows what Varane was supposed to be doing yesterday. Morgan gave the ball away a bit when he came on but he actually did help us start to create the midfield. I'm not sure Field would have made a difference tbh. Mbengue being 1 yellow from a 3 game ban means he is playing within himself and was lucky last night to get away with it. The full back situation is a major issue.
Stephen talked about keeping it simple, but keeping it simple is surely having the right players in the right positions and the mistake is playing players out of position that are not good enough to do it. However if you were to think of the squad in its current state as a poker hand, it's a dire one. If we can. keep Poku fit it maybe we have a king or an ace in the hand at last which is something to work with.

Poor unfit squad who look like they given up. He appears to have lost the dressing room but not sure who could get a tune out of this lot. Shows what a job Marti did first season does not look like JS has the nouse to change things round. At least he made changes at HT rather than the usual wait to the 70th minute when we are 3 down. We are deep in the shit someone else called out the similarities to Brum season when they went down when they looked well clear. Teams at the bottom starting to win and close the gap.

Playing fantasy football here...
...but if they lose at Leicester and bin Stephan as I suspect they may have to just to throw some meat to the mob, they could do worse than give the team to a combination of Cook and Betsy for the last eight games (maybe Bould too, if they can coax him into the dugout). I imagine Cook knows better than most what needs fixing and if that was his hamstring, that's his playing season done.

Cant agree about Sam Field you can't pick out one player from a 7-1 defeat and say his future was finished after that game, the whole team failed miserably not just one player, the true definition of a scapegoat.
No he's not the Messiah but he's better than Varane and Hayden and is exactly the type of player we need at the moment, he would have played well alongside Madsen in the same way Derry looked good playing alongside Faurlin.
It's a massive mistake ostracizing him in the way Stephan did, one of the questions should be was Stephan put under pressure by Nourry to give game time to Varane so we can sell him.

I’ve lost count of the times this season he has put a team out just shy of rubbing Vaseline around their rrs holes and had to endure watching us ramble around the pitch basically losing the ball everytime a bit of pressure is put on us or just kicking the ball back or out , rinse repeat!
He never changes things or is too fking pig headed to accept things ain’t working and we either get our backsides handed to us and he will make a sub at half time when the games gone already or stick with it until the 70th minute when we are losing after coming out at ht still asleep !
Have seen nothing in any shape or form to suggest he knows what he’s doing

Yeah with all this talk of JS walking / being given the boot, it occurs to me that there's still a good chunk of season left, and assuming they don't have someone lined up, that's a lot of games for a caretaker manager to be responsible for.

Stephan keeps on mentioning we need four points to avoid being relegated.
I can't see how focusing on such a negative constantly and from the way he is talking, he honestly feels we won't get these four points.
He said we have another tough game on Saturday. We'll, its a team in the bottom three, that we battered not that long ago.
I appreciate the injury situation is beyond ridiculous now, but focusing so much on these four points is not helpful.
However, to be honest, this is on the players out there.
Recently they have been pathetic. Amongst the worst we have seen. Appreciate we can lose a lot with so many key players out, but inhonestly think most of these players couldn't give a flying f**k at the moment.
Dunne saying lack of clear instructions. That's PATHETIC. These guys are elite professional footballers on thousand of pounds a week. He is the captain. He is meant to have some idea of how to motivate the players himself. But really tbh players on this kind of money, what extra motivation do you need.
Stephan doesnt want to be here now. That's clear. He will be moved on soon if we lose another couple in a row.
But the players are simply not trying. They all have qualities but they clearly dont want Stephan now. They are playing purposely poorly for me , to get rid of him.
Whether, he should go or not is open for debate.
But this performance in particular is TOTALLY on the players.
They better start f**k*ng put some effort in. The people who turn up pay their extortionate wages. Do it for them. But they won't. Some characters showing extremely poor personality. This is bad....

If/when Cook goes, it'll leave a vacuum that we don't have enough with the minerals to fill.
I'm already fearful for next season in the absence of Rangers suddenly discovering how to bring in blokes with high standards, full-commitment, and hamstrings!
As has been the case for the last 30 years, all our problems emanate from the boardroom.
