...QPR get three points!

Ha! Tongue-in-cheek, obviously.

Seriously speaking now. That was a superb first half (especially considering the several blows we've been receiving as a club in the last few days).

But that second half could have been much more enjoyable if we actually went for the kill. Not complaining much, but I think it was too risky to just sit back and defend. Even more so with all the space we had to attack when Sunderland were going for it.

Cattermole was given extra life by the ref and I think we should have taken him on a lot more than we did (looking for a second yellow).

Very good performance by Fer in the first half. Barton too.

Rio-Caulker were immense and growing into the game as it went on.

Charlie took his chance very well and the two or three steps back he takes as he sees the ball is falling onto Fer's head were the absolute key for us to score there.

He gets separation from the defender and invites Fer to head the ball down there. So glad shook off that penalty miss and is now a Premier League goal-scorer.

Green was huge late on, too.

Hoilett (should have started all three matches) and Phillips were placed in a position that suits them and as a result, they had a good game.

I liked Mutch too. He'll get better once he settles and lets go of some nerves.

Solid from Isla and Hill on the wings. Traore came in and almost gifts them a goal as he failed to cover his man coming from the right.

To Old Trafford now, with I don't know how many new faces, but with one more point to our account than the host.

We are clear favourites, me thinks!

I thought barton was outstanding today motm by a mile.

The whole team seemed to wake up after that thunderbolt from Fer, we were unstoppable for the rest of the half.

Credit to Hoillett and Phillips as much for carrying out there defensive duties and supporting Hill and Isla.

Rio worried me a couple of times when through balls were played, he was sitting four or five yards deeper than the other defenders and was playing them onside.

Green didn't have too much to do but made one outstanding save.

Not convinced by jordan Mutch so far but assume there is more to come from him.

And finally, a superb header by Fer for the goal, to get up and deliberately cushion a header into austins path in the six yard box was class. Hopefully his bob malcolmesque performance at spurs was one-off.
