Don't Wookies live for hundreds of years anyway? Yes George Lucas ruined the last three and arguably Return Of The Jedi as he added far too much re-sale crap to it like, Ewoks for dpin offs, Pod Racing so he could sell a few video games and then kidified it all with cringeworthy characters like Jah Jah Binks, the robot general with a cough and a badly acted Anakin Skywalker. Overall there was way too much unconvincing CGI much of which brought nothing to the story and was there just because it could be done. The model animation the original movies worked so much better.
I do worry about JJ Abrams too though as he didn't do much for the Star Trek reboot. Again too much emphasis on CGI, that In to Darkness was the worst Star Trek movie ever.

Never seen one. Unlikely to start now.
I hear some of it was filmed on the Skelligs, off Kerry.
Why the f*ck not?
I watched The God Father trilogy for the very first time a few weeks back, never too late to investigate something new. All the movies were filmed in part in the UK.
Like Essex Marshes being turned into Vietnam for Kubricks Full Metal Jacket.

No interest in science fiction or superhero-type films. I'm sympathetic to the theory that the success of Star Wars (can't comment on the film itself) cretinised Hollywood just as it was getting interesting.

As soon as JJ Abrams was announced as taking charge of this, I have been looking forward to it. Looks like it's going to be everything the previous ones should have been - can't wait!

totally agree about the clusterfcuk of the first 2 films , although the last one i thought was quite good and dark especailly the way Anakin turned and killed all the jedi's fingers crossed that the newer ones are decent
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

This film needs to be really good to repair the damage done by the prequals. Why oh why did they make them aimed at kids and tailor them to sell shit loads of shit merchandise based on shit characters!! (not a question as we know it was for money).
The films should have just been made for what they were, films. They'd have made a ton of money anyway. Not a vehicle to sell cr@p. Any merchandise would have sold anyway.

Looks great, although all trailers do these days don't they. Thank the force that Damon Lindelof's not involved at least.
Still more excited about the new Mad Max!
Nope - all trailers don't aren't great nowadays!
Tonnes of them regularly spoil / ruin the movie themselves by more or less telling you the plot to the extent where you don't need to watch the movie.
I'd say there are very few that work as well as this one does. Especially the way this one exploits people's feeling of nostalgia if you have a fondness for the original films.

The prequels were made for under 10's same as the originals so those who grew up with the originals were never going to like them. I thought the 3rd one was quite good though, better than return of the jedi. The best one is still the only one Lucas didn't direct so high hopes for this one
