LOVE this story - where the hell are they meant to stand?

Unless the weather map is going to encompass half the Atlantic, body/arm/hand is always going to obscure the county!

Its not as if people are going to not go there on holiday because they can't see it on the weather reports!

They could stand to the right of the map but then that would mean breaking with tradition (as far as I can remember they have always stood to the left).

Alternatively they could get a pointing stick

Get the weather person to sit cross-legged on the floor with their back to camera and have them point a laser pen or metre rule at the relevant region. Actually, they might need something like a telescopic paint roller pole to reach the Highlands, Shetland etc. Sorted.
