So sad to see he died.
He was also one of my favourite players , even if he did play for Liverpool.
Always thought he was a genuinely nice person.

Maybe true,but many of us QPR fans have bitter me tries of Liverpool and are disappointed that HD has chosen that club to invest in. Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton,even Leeds might have been easier to take. |

I would say the issue with Sinclair was not holding on to him, but by appointing Houston as manager, who had a Premiership squad yet failed to trouble the top 6.
It's all well and good saying sell Edwards, but a decent replacement is needed. Smith and Akindineli maybe in the future, but not for this season. And JCS is unlikely to play more than 25 appearances judging by his career record. |

I read they got him for free as his club, Bordeax went bust or something similar.
Truth is I don't really care how much the fee is from Basle or whether if is enough to pay off his contract etc, what matters most us he is out of the club and no more time or money is wasted on him.
He wasn't the right fit for the club, because he played as part of a front 2 at Lugano and Cifuentes preferred just 1 striker in his life up. I recall watching Celar as a lone striker for QPR and struggling to win headers, hold the ball up or even press the ball. All of those are usually done by a lone striker.
Hopefully, QPR have negotiated a % of any sell on fee just in case Celar rediscovers how to score goals and Basle receive decent bids to buy him. [Post edited 18 Jul 7:41]

I know the aim is to get the players fit for the season ahead, but that was a very poor 2nd half.
There were players on the pitch who looked like L2 standard, if that. Morgan Morrison, Lloyd, Sanyaolu, Ajdeti-Brew and worst of all, Adamson. The 1st 2 have played better before, so maybe they can get back to where they were before, but the others don't belong in a Championship squad. |

Good shout on Kane and Watkins. That would have been a good substitution and one that could have produced a second goal for England.
It would have been great to see England in the final, but it wasn't to be.
Also a good shout from DWQPR about the FA needing to get its act together and start producing some young coaches to work in the Premier League and then the England team. There are too few good young coaches coming through. |

Totally agree. I was saying to my son, why is he taking Gordon off and replacing him with Konsa? England need him to attack the full back as Argentina will push forward in search for an equaliser.
Argentina where there for the taking. Yes, they are good going forward with world class players like Messi, Fernandez, Lautaro, Alarez and McAllister, but they can also be got at as proved with Gordon's goal. The more they attacked the more space would have been created for Gordon, Morgan and Bellingham or replacements like Saka and Rashford to exploit. Instead Tuchel brought on subs like Konsa and Burn to sit back and hope for a repeat of the Alamo attitude against Mexico.
Absolute defensive madness to do what Tuchel did. It was the same defensive negativity as when Southgate sat his team back in the Euros final against Italy. |

That's the minimum fee I was expecting too.
He has had some very good loans and is young, so £500K should be the minimum, but I guess only if there were other bidders. |

That squad looks weak to me in a number of areas
Another left back is needed whether ir nor Larkeche or Esquerdinha leave as they don't look good enough to me. A RB is also needed.
Another experienced BB is needed to replace Cook.
If either Dunne or Edwards get injured or banned there will be problems. Mbengue can cover, but RB would be a problematic position.
CM looks weak,. Not that he was good last season, but even weaker if Varane is sold. |

I am also surprised about Lloyd as he did next to nothing whilst out on loan last season in L1.
He is definitely not Championship material. |
