Often derided as a soft touch. often correctly.

Today we were dogged, wise and strong. Never broke the rules, but killed time when we had to and played football when we could.

Warburton a one-trick pony?

Warnock would have been proud of that performance.

1,500 consecutive games following the Rangers.

What a star! Well done, Chris!

Excellent today. From the off. Very impressive. Defended from the front and got our rewards time and again.

Disappointing to concede the second goal again so close to the first. And we were more open than I'd like early on.

All the same, the reaction to the setback was utterly superb.

Attitude. Love it.

Irish General Election
at 15:42 9 Feb 2020

Seismic shift to the left in Ireland today.

Exit polls suggesting that left parties are heading for 45% of the vote.

So many fascinating issues arising now:

Are Sinn Féin now on a par with the right-wing monoliths of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael?
Will either of them get into coalition-bed with Sinn Féin?
Can Sinn Féin be trusted in Government?
Have Sinn Féin left violence behind?
Will Ireland, could Ireland, actually have a Left-Wing Government in the near future?

Lost count of the many headers he won.
Positioning excellent.
Decent pace (maybe not top-line, though?)
Cool in possession.
Good passer.
Good talker.
Likes to get forward.

Clear MOTM again today.
Very exciting potential.
Classic Albums

I reckoned yesterday while driving that a truly great album has no bad songs on it and at least five classic choons.

With that in mind, a thread for Classic Albums with links to five great choons:

George Petchey RIP
at 12:51 17 Jan 2020

Saw this on QPR1st's FB Page

Famous name from our not-so distant past.

"We join in mourning the passing of former QPR wing-half George Petchey, aged 88.
Born in Whitechapel on June 24th 1931, George moved from West Ham to Rangers in July 1953. He played 278 league and cup games for us and scored 24 goals over seven years, which included Alec Stock’s first season at QPR.

George transferred to Crystal Palace in June 1960. After retirement from playing he managed Leyton Orient and Millwall. RIP"

And to start with, one from CliveWilsonSaid with the following comment

"Here's one from an emerging artist i'm not sure i've seen mentioned on here. Not entirely my thing music wise but she seems a bit special. Peace all."

Clarke Carlisle - Undr The Cosh

Thanks to Clive for the reccy on this podcast.

Apparently it's a great podcast anyway, but I went straight to the Clarke Carlisle episodes, thanks to Clive.

103 minutes in the first episode (mostly QPR) and another 143 minutes to go.

Excellent stuff - deep, honest, funny, and such a clearly nice fella.
Best of luck to him.

What a lazy hoor this lad is. Completely hung his full back out to dry today.

How great it is to be free of ar$eholes like him.
Rangers Visit
at 11:01 16 Dec 2019

Right, that's it!

Five goals conceded, Tories in power. This needs a visit to HQ to sort it all out.

I'm over for the Charlton, Reading and Hull games and will be hearing confessions in the C&S.

Bring your troubles and lay them at my feet. I will solve and absolve.

So much for 'No Plan B'.

This year we've changed formation regularly. In the last two games and in particular today we changed tactics as well. Played longer, harder, defended a bit deeper and tried to clog the middle.

Still some lovely football but no with added nous.

Well done to Warburton and Co.
