Henderson and Rashford will get the nod before Eze…absolute Joke.

Player of the season
at 14:32 21 Apr 2024

JCS for me….quality above all else. Imperious yesterday and throughout the season. Class.

Cook…the leader of the team and an example in professionalism personified.

Without these two we would have been dead and buried long ago.

Chair…has dropped off in recent weeks, but as mentioned elsewhere, carried this team in the early part of the season.

No arguing that Dunne goal either.

I have had a dream - Lyndon to score three against Preston
at 12:15 20 Apr 2024

I’ve been one of his biggest critics, but do hope he finally produces something of note against Preston and I will gladly eat humble pie for the rest of the week.

In the meantime, will be shopping for stir fry and pasta dishes.

I always preferred the “Golden Goal” idea. First to score in extra time decided the tie.

Three is the cursed number as QPR fall in a hole at Hull - Report
at 19:10 15 Apr 2024

No complaints from me about effort and commitment, we were outplayed and comprehensively beaten by a much better team. Find it odd that Hull have struggled so much at home recently.

Very much looked like a dads v lads game to me. We need to put that one behind us and focus on Preston.

Great report by the way.

That’s a bit like saying we should leave Dykes in the side because he’s good at defending corners, but can’t score a goal, or even shoot, to save his life.

Can’t say I entirely agree. Willock imo was our best player and the most likely to score. Anderson looked completely lost and was rightly hooked at half time. Chair was ok, got some crosses in, no one there as usual. Agree that as a three behind the striker, it is just not working and Marti would be foolish to stick with it against what will be a season defining game next week.

Dykes crosses were………….interesting to say the least.

No lack of effort, Hull have far superior technical footballers. Their pace and movement left us floundering.

Willock by far our best player today.

Take Chair off and leave Dykes on?

Dykes and Anderson off for Smyth and Hodge. Willock left, Smyth right with Chair and Hodge down the middle.

Looks like a dads v lads game. We’re ponderous and they are playing it around us like kids taking the piss out of old farts. Embarrassing.

We Just Dont Get Enough From Our Strikers

Dykes is pony, defending his contribution, or lack thereof, is delusional.

Seny Dieng has scored as many away goals as Dykes across the last two seasons. How much evidence is needed?

Goals - Hitting Targets
at 09:33 13 Apr 2024

Agree. There’s a perception on here that if we sling more crosses in Dykes et al will get on the end of them. Complete baloney.

Time to ditch the target man nonsense and get a striker in that will complement the 3 technical midfielders behind him and is adept at finding the net working in tight spaces.

Another lump up front is not what is needed.

Being linked to Kemar Roofe

I bet he’d score more than Dykes if he only played 14 times in the next two years.

We shouldn’t be touching this type of signing with a barge pole however.

To Hull and back - Preview
at 09:07 13 Apr 2024

In simple terms, our defence have been exceptional ( rag hands excluded of course) and our forwards utterly useless.

That Dykes stat on twitter is embarrassing, for him and for us. What club is likely to pay anything for a striker that contributes so little. Unless we pay off his contract in the summer, we are stuck with an expensive bench warmer for next season.

Can’t see us winning this one. They have goals in abundance from all over the pitch. We can’t hit a cows arse with a banjo, unless one of our defenders bails us out…..again.

Philogene will tear Fox a new one if he plays at left back today.

In fairness, he had a slightly better game than he normally does. He even looked like he was trying at one point. Hardly outstanding though. Plenty of crosses into the box that he failed to attack or anticipate. Par for the course.

Armstrong New Contract ?

Easy, don’t play any of them. The stats show they are highly unlikely to score, so go for a false 9 type approach. Hodge is far better on the ball than any of our strikers and should be able to link better with our 3 attacking midfielders and potentially create more goal scoring opportunities.

Constant movement and rotation of those 4 just might give us an added dimension. Or it might not work at all.Trying something has to be better than accepting the inevitable incompetence of our very limited 3 strikers and effectively playing with 10 men.

Would swap Hodge for Field as he is better on the ball, but defo agree we should not even bother with any of our so called strikers.

Along with Dykes….no coach in the world will get a tune out of either of them as they are simply not footballers of any real calibre.
