The angry gimp hasn't got over Sundays defeat it seems.

Luton's Nathan Jones: "If Bournemouth don't go up, if Fulham don't go up, it's a disaster for them. QPR have spent massive money, Sheffield United have spent massive money, we've got the lowest budget in the league, with nine games to go we're riding the wave.

Pubs at Wembley

I presume we are going to be designated the same set of pubs for the East side. Is there a LFW preference?

Henry + Carroll
at 10:55 29 Jan 2014

Im not one to dig out our own players and I have been patient with Little Tom due to his age and attitude but I thought he was useless again last night. I lost count the amount of simple 10 yard passes he misplaced and also the amount of times he got pushed off the ball. I am beginning to think he just isnt very good.

Henry as a nasty habit of p1ssballing about whilst facing his own goal and losing possession apart from that he got better as the game went on last night.

Of the two I would rather start Henry alongside Barton on Saturday.

Will 37 points be enough
at 16:33 11 Mar 2013

I don't think it will this year.

Wigan look dangerous, Kone looks decent, Southampton are capable of scraping together two or three wins from their remaining games. Villa are improving, I dont think Reading will get any better though.

Harrys Press conference

I may be reading too much into things but did anyone notice the way he spoke about Bosingwas and Cesar's injuries.

Reading between the lines he basically said they didnt fancy the trip up to Newcastle as they have both hurt their backs without playing. I got the impression that he isnt happy with them.

Corners
at 15:56 30 Nov 2012

Has anyone noticed how we never stick anyone in front of the keeper at corners. I have noticed on at least 3 or 4 occasions this season where this would have most likely resulted in a goal.

Even if it doesn't result in a goal directly it usually prevents the keeper from being able to come out and claim the ball cleanly. Someone like Mackie could pick up at least 4 or 5 goals a season by just standing there and waiting for bits and pieces.

This is by no means our biggest tactical problem but it really P!ssed me off when it happened again at Sunderland in the week.

Captain?

We still have no idea as to who the captain will be next Saturday. As it seems that we are not going to be signing a centre back any time soon it has got to go to Clint Hill hasn't it? Natural leader.

plan for sunday
at 11:58 8 May 2012

These last few weeks have turned me into a complete moron. For my sanity not to mention my families and because I don't think I can cope much longer I have been trying to work out how best to deal with Sunday.

Since the Stoke game ended I have so far convinced myself to:
a) man up and watch the game
b) watch the game whilst doing something else to take my mind off it
c) ignore our game at City and watch Bolton at Stoke instead
d) Go out for the day with the kids and not put myself through the torture of a last minute winner for Bolton.

Any other suggestions?

Bolton are gash!

I watched them against Swansea they should have got beat by at least a couple of goals. I think as little as 1 more point might be enough for us to stay up. I cant see them getting anything against villa.

Please make it so. I am still on a high after last night.

I am not one who usually believes in fate or luck but...
at 11:47 12 Mar 2012

It has almost seemed inevitable that we are going down for quite some time now.

I finally realised that we are surely down after the Fulham game when I felt that on any other day we would have snatched a draw. Defeats are much easier to accept when you concede that relegation is inevitable.

The really frustrating thing is that we have not really been totally outplayed and beaten convincingly by any one other than united and spurs.

We seem to have more shots and create more chances than our opponents yet have not picked up anywhere near enough points since November.

We seem to hit the post at least once a match and not to mention being on the end of some poor refereeing decisions.

It is true that our predicament can not solely be based on bad luck, however just as last season we seemed to catch some lucky breaks throughout the season promotion therefore seemed nailed on pretty much all season, we have not really had any games where I thought we were really fortunate to win or get a point (perhaps Chelsea is an exception).

I wonder if the club have privately already started planning for next season in the championship. It would be great if we bounced straight back next season and finally got to have a proper promotion celebration.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Warnock's Leeds team pass us on the way down just to rub salt into our wounds.
