Ride London for QPR in the Community Trust
at 12:21 15 May 2022

Hi all,

I’m a very long time reader (but having just checked, I’ve not physically posted since 2013!) and Rangers fan of 29 years.

I’ve signed up for Ride London (103 miles in one go) in two weeks times on behalf of QPR in the Community Trust (the club have sent me an extremely nice and tight lycra Rangers top to ride in).

I’m sure you probably all know but our charity trust basically provide outreach work primarily for those who are disadvantaged in some way (Tiger Cubs, working with disenfranchised youngsters to encourage them into higher education, families living in poverty, to give a few examples).

This will be the first and last time I ask for sponsorship for any event on here (or anywhere!), so if you can spare a fiver for our charity arm, please feel free to follow the link below (completely understand you probably get lots of sponsorship requests so no worries if not!):

The training is horrific by the way - I’ve just spent two hours cycling in the pouring rain.

You Rs.

That's a shame, it would have been good to have welcomed our friends back to LR one more time.

'Outstanding' Bolton
at 11:09 25 Aug 2013

I went yesterday and thought Bolton were very poor and that we didn't have to get out of second gear to pick up the points. So did I really just hear Dougie Freedman say,'we were outstanding in the first half'? Wednesday were a better team than Bolton, by quite some way!
On that showing, Bolton are in for quite a long season....

I know there are at least 388 others attending as the box office have confirmed we've so far sold 400 tickets....

What would you say to John Terry if you bumped into him in M&S car park?
at 20:53 16 Nov 2012

So you're getting out of your car to do the shopping, wife and baby right by your side, and you realise JT is standing by his car in front of you. You make eye contact and are 6-8 feet away, there is nobody else in the immediate vicinity but it is a busy car park.

What would you say/do if anything??

Did anybody else know about the extra 20 loyalty points?
at 13:25 3 Sep 2012

I've just spoken to the box office as my loyalty points for the cup match had not been added. They guy I spoke to went through my account and told me that I had been awarded an extra 20 loyalty points for attending more than 10 away games last season, apparently this is due to very high demand for the Spurs match, and those that did attend more than 10 away games last year will now be guaranteed a ticket for this game! Apparently there points will stay with me until the end of Septmebr and then be removed again....
Has this been made public knowledge? It also brings me back to a point I have raised time and time again; why not just average loyalty points out over the course of say 3 years!?

The last 10 years on this board....
at 09:20 28 Jul 2012

Am I the least consistent poster ever to grace this board? I have been posting/reading for as long as I can remember, I'm sure it must now be 10 years +, but I have still managed less than 500 posts. I was formally known as We_are_QPR on the the old board, have only ever met 1 regular board poster, and thats because he lives a mile from me (take a bow Bazz), yet read the board daily, never miss an article, had one of my ideas in the voting when we were deciding on a name for this board (Queens Park Ramblings - I believe it was runner up in the voting) and my review of the Springbok sat on the pub review section on here for years.
Definition of inconsistent? A passive/active? Anyone give a damn?

An urgent warning for all Sky customers
at 11:42 22 Jul 2012

I've just recieved a call asking me if I would be interested in a great offer they have going on, I asked what it was to which the Sky rep said 'Chelsea TV for half price for three months'. I politely explained that this would be the last channel in the history of television that I would ever wish to watch, and wouldn't consider subscribing if they paid me.

I'm quite upset by the whole event if I'm honest.

What a situation- Chelsea ST holder moved in next door....
at 14:45 26 May 2012

One single lady Chelsea ST holder actually, but her son and daughter are ST holders too. I did question how long they had supported them and they have been going for 30+ years, so can't really get them on that one.
The daughter is quite simply stunning (29, blonde, model etc)....but she has taken to parking her Mini Cooper S outside with a big Chelsea sticker in the window, f'ing disgusted by that one.
I purchased a QPR air freshener for a mate at the Stoke game, was going to give it to him when I saw him next but have had to put it up in my car now to try and address the unbalance on my street!

Would it be worth following up a racist joke about Anton Ferdinand that was made based on the JT race row? I'm sickened by a comment I have just seen having been googling JT's previous misdemeanours!
