Not sure it will have made press up there but Craig Bellamy just gone public with neurodegenerative disease- seeing season out but clearly a shocker. Storm always top4 but very lightweight in defence this season as are Bulldogs.
Dolphins, Tigers and maybe Knights adding fun to proceedings

More mixed review from down under - some of it v good but felt like Jamie Lee Curtis was in a different show and way over cooked. Think could settle into good series though. My wife has read the books & struggled a little with the difference.
We’re nearly through Detective Hole from Jo Nesbo books - Norwegian & subtitles but think that is staying close to source material & actor playing Harry is v good.On Netflix |

After drab game will bump this thread back up as Warriors beat Melbourne after 17 game, 11 year losing streak! They’ve lost 4 in a row & Bellamy must be about to explode.
Odd week with Panthers getting done after perfect first 5 games, Cowboys doing Broncos & Raiders finding form.
Not finest betting week… |

He’s a quality player, not explosive as used to be but smart & great team player.
Been really good back at Warriors & can cover a few positions.
Interviews here suggest he’s after new experience for him/family & doubt just there for pay cheque.

Canberra have the Ricky Stuart issue - bit like Warnock unless he’s yours he’s ever so slightly unlikeable.
NRL is nightmare for having a bet - Storm 90pts in first 2 games then lose at home to 0-2 Broncos.

Very pleasant surprise with that performance after getting stuffed by SA earlier in tournament.
We’re lacking in depth & missing some of bigger name players but still finding a way.
Hope another crack at you guys as should’ve won last time up & let slip.
Openers to be at least half as good in final… |

So disappointing as really thought Aussie batters could be got at. Archer going from under done in Perth to hitting form, to done vs 35yo Starc who has been sensational.
Good luck Bethell who was outstanding in NZ last year but different intensity here with 90k at MCG.
And he’ll be in within first few overs…. |

Not same quality of Slow Horses but like leads and hopefully will grow from here as second season confirmed. One character was absolute pants and out of sync with rest - he’s been great in other stuff Sherwood/Killing Eve but completely wrong tone here |

Really poor, biggest opportunity of the series, Aussie minus 2 world class bowlers and a new opener and all done in 2 days.
Not good enough in test cricket to score at 5+ an over but only bat 30-40 overs.
Aussie will always find an innings from someone - don’t like him but great knock under pressure from Head.
Hope can be a competitive series but not holding my breath.
Let’s see how mental coaching guru Gilbert Enoka works his magic before 2nd test… |

Looking forward to this & hope competitive.
Still a surprise kicks off in Perth not Brisbane where so much history (Aussie success).
Spinner situation is weird & Aussie batsman will end his career if not up to it - targeted far more accomplished spinners in past.
Lyon so successful & have irrational dislike - seems like chap who’d cause a ruck in the pub then hide behind big mates as kicked off - nothing to base this on but am convinced…
Great opportunity for England to create at least some doubt in the always self assured Aussies & go 1-0 up. |

Long way from any control or plan let alone dominance.
Can play well for 20min spells but then overdo it or get one or two yellow cards.
Robertson has lot to sort out before WC & has had long enough now for it to be his side. |
