Luke Freeman article in the Independent this morning
at 08:12 3 May 2019

‘I’ll make my own pathway’: QPR’s Luke Freeman sets his sights high as he considers the future
Exclusive interview: The 27-year-old, who has spent his senior career in League One and the Championship, tells The Independent that he wants to play for a club with upward ambitions.

Luke Freeman has been the best thing about Queens Park Rangers for the last two seasons but Sunday's game at Sheffield Wednesday could well be his last for the club.
Freeman has just won fans', players' and Junior Hoops' player of the year, a reward for a season of brave, skilful performances, the heartbeat of a struggling team. It is worrying to imagine where they would have finished without him driving them on.
Because a season that briefly threatened to be a success - with QPR two points off the play-offs on Boxing Day - ended in a familiar decline. They have won two of their last 21 games, a run that cost Steve McClaren his job and sees them likely to finish the season just two places above the relegation zone.

Bobby Moore and Redknapp
at 08:33 26 Nov 2017

I read this article about Bobby Moore and his time at Oxford City last night and at the point when I got to Redknapp being involved I thought they’d somehow mixed up articles with a current one!

The chairman quoted when talking about the number and type of players Redknapp was trying to bring in, “we’re Oxford City not Real Madrid!” shows him up to his usual tricks back then!

The most exciting kick off you've every witnessed
at 11:26 17 Nov 2016

Come on, we've had a few questions now so lets get down to the most important one.

What's the best kick off you've ever seen?

I'll start with Derby away on 13th March 2007. Beautiful roll forward from Gallen to Furlong.. Just beautiful..

Joey's Book
at 11:36 22 Sep 2016

Got this review on Amazon....

"Contains quite a considerable amount of nonsense. It reads like Rik from The Young Ones' essay about what he did in the summer holidays; a summer that saw an inexplicably bitter Rik from The Young Ones play for Burnley, pausing occasionally to assault an adolescent.

If you ever wanted to know what Marlon Brando's "I coulda been a contender" speech might've read like if written by post-success Freddie Star over 352 pages, this is the book for you. If not, I'd recommend that you check out literally any other book ever written, or perhaps even the calming serenity of staring into the middle distance for 3 to 4 hours.

Awarding it 2 stars as the cover image make Barton look like a minor character from HBO's Deadwood. Or an owner of an unremarkable cafe who, in an attempt to reverse his business's ailing fortunes, has rebranded himself as a provocative hipster who's rude to breastfeeding mothers on his cafe's Facebook page.
