Palace haven’t scored from one all season, apparently.

This is pretty crap to fair, but Wharton looks a good player.

I wasn’t expecting much based on reports of his sluggish ten minutes at Blackburn, but what an impact. Energy, touch, finish, what a revelation!

Can’t have any unqualified nobody starting a match thread.

I was thinking about yellow and green as kit colours. Hate it on Norwich, always loved it on the Albion.

New Year Loans

I imagine a lot of Premier League managers who wouldn’t have let Ainsworth near their little darlings will want to get their kids into the Cifuentes Academy for aspiring professionals. Is this a good thing for us, or should we be looking for the Bosnian bargains he brought to Sweden?

Askew Road/Goldhawk Road sewer collapse late 1960s
at 12:43 27 Oct 2023

There's a family story about an uncle working underground on sewer maintenance in the late 60s when there was a collapse and he and another worker were trapped underground - he survived, his mate was killed. All the people I could ask are long dead, but does anyone here remember anything about it? It might not have happened, at least as recorded!

Back in the Super League! Seven away wins in a row, finishing in Toulouse. God help them next season, but what an achievement.

The Isleys hold a special place in my heart as 3+3 was the only one of my albums the future Mrs Sheen could bear to listen to...not a punk fan.

Steiner!
at 09:54 22 Sep 2023

A work contact from Japan told me he's in Australia on business and just had a night out with Rob Steiner. Apparently Rob is a property investor based in Sydney and wants to go international. Loves a drink and a chat, but stayed on his feet all night. Apparently had a long rant about what an arrogant, useless *rse Rob Styles was.
