Some great memories. I always thought it was Danny Maddix who presented Ipswich's first on a plate after 3 minutes in the 4-1.

Holloway's highs and lows — Column
at 09:32:28

As a young man I found the Holloway era with Cook, Rowlands, Bircham and Gallen incredibly exciting and I can't remember being as emotionally invested in Rangers anytime since as I was back then. They were great days to support QPR.

Austin and Faurlin inspire comeback — Report

Excellent and very fair write up there Clive. Just a thought, could it be that Seb Polter is actually a bit rusty - seen as he hardly ever plays? There must be a player there somewhere.

Also, Green wasn't faultless for the first goal either. It's not unrealistic to suggest a better (younger) goalkeeper could have concentrated, got down their hands down to the grass and actually saved both.

Great stuff Clive. Remember that replay at Turf Moor in 2009, I think when my mate and I left you were running down the steps shouting expletives. Frustrating game.

As much as things change… - report
at 11:35:45

Last night was a reminder of how nervous and tense supporting a team in the Premier League is. QPR are there with all the debt, baggage, high profile owners, staff, players and media coverage that comes with it. But last night we visited a well run small club in League 2 that have little to no debt, unheard of owners and a commited young team and manager, and who care about their fans. Sky Sports and the owners of QPR wouldn't understand this but I left feeling a little envious of the small team's situation. As big and clever as the Premier League with all it's money is, it could learn a lot here.

Excellent write up as usual. Also points to be taken off Adams Park for not selling any alcohol inside the stadium despite it being written on the price list by the counter..."Sorry mate, that's only for Rugby matches". Oh well.

Should I expect a fee for the back of my head making an appearance in a match report photograph?

Athleticism, power, strength — Hughes lays cards on the table

Can't help but think of Portsmouth and Leeds etc when I consider how much these players must be earning in order to agree to play for QPR.

I don't like being pessimistic but I think more than just league status relies upon staying up this year.

LFW end of term report part one — every player assessed
at 09:19:48

A brilliant read Clive. Re the Matt Connolly criticism I agree your comments about not being the most physical of defenders and also with NorwayRanger on him possibly being better suited to playing alongside a big lump of a centre half like Wes Morgan as opposed to Gorkks. We have to remember how good he was in the early season at games like Ipswich and Leicester where he completely controlled our defence with composure and playing it nicely out from the back. Thats what he's capable of, and he wasn't just doing it as a one off either we've seen him do it for months at a time. I'd say its just a confidence thing and he's prone to getting himself in bad mental states during games.

This Week — Hello darkness my old friend
at 13:25:51

Its a very well written article.

I don't agree that a points deduction is inevitable however as whilst it would set a precedent it is also the most risky punishment for the FA to hand out. Imagine if they dock us so many points that we aren't promoted as a result. QPR will appeal and appeal it is entirely possible they would be eventually cleared and the FA will know this. The resulting compensation figure isn't something they could afford, let alone the embarrassing and farcical nature of that situation.

Also I think other clubs will recognize that QPR have been the best team in the league over the course of the season. Fielding an ineligible player isn't something we have been charged with (unless I am missing something) meaning we haven't gained from fielding one and I think multi-million pound claims from whoever finishes 3rd are less likely as a result.
