I remember when I was a kid about half past three, my older brother used to take me to games. He told me the Rs had refused to play a game that was to be reffed by a man named Reg Leafe.
I don't know whether he was pulling my leg.
Said Mr Leafe went on to ref in a World Cup.
Would the club have been allowed to refuse in this Way? |

I noticed late on, with the sun in the west being low, he was shielding his eyes all the time. We could have lobbed a few over his bonce and he'd have been in even more trouble. |

We need Huddersfield to beat the Brummies next weekend then we should be OK.
Leeds and Coventry are hardly easy games.
I came away from the match yesterday in significantly higher spirits but the realisation has come upon me that there are still obstacles to overcome.

We will of course be in the rare position of knowing how our rivals have fared before KO.
Given that some of our players are a bit questionable with their mindsets, I wonder if this will really be to our advantage.
Of all the “must win” games we've only beaten Brum and that due to the late heroics of two of our players that one wouldn't expect to score.

Yes, they are much improved. I don't think the routes are as long, maybe that's it. For example, the 88 used to run from Acton Green all the way to Homerton ( no place like Homerton).
When I lived in Fulham, my fav bus was the single decker 190 which went from my doorstep to the Mawson Arms next to Fullers. Door to door. They ran every 15 mins bang on time. |
