Saints charged with spying

Even better: Wrexham would have a case for saying soton shouldn’t have been in the playoffs and they have unfairly missed out on having a crack.

A sandwich in Florence lives long in my memory. Schiacciate, which is like a thin bit of focaccia, fresh roast pork with crackling, an artichoke paste, a slab of pecorino, and a tumbler of chianti. The queue was long, but moved fast.

Team shape 2026/27?

I agree.

Without the ball:
451 low block when appropriate.
2233 high press when appropriate.

Kolli Off
at 13:41 4 May 2026

We'd be excited if we were signing any other championship side's version of Rayan Kolli.

He's ours. He's got an affinity for the club. He's young. He scores goals nobody else can. He's physical. He's got a swagger. He's got cool hair. In time he could join the long line of QPR maverick 10s.

I'll be gutted if we stuff this up and he gets forced out / gets so pissed off he forces a move.

And we're supposed to be a developement club! What more could you be hoping to develop than what he's shown so far?

Gone up in my estimation massively.

Summer sales
at 10:26 23 Apr 2026

Sadly Sam Field seems the most likely to be sold.

I would expect to see the following leave permenantly: Cook, Hayden, Varane, RND, Nardi, Hamer, Lloyd, Field.

And on loan: Bennie, Adamson, Esquerdinha, Smith, Pearman, Alemeyahu.

If we can get £2m in transfer fees that will help, and it's a lot of wages off the books.

Sadly we might lose Kolli too, considering the relationship with management and that fact someone may offer seven figures. It would be a good deal for the club because he didn't cost anything to buy, and he doesn't really need replacing either - Bennie and Obikwu could back up Kone and Burrell. That would add to our budget.

But we'll need to bring 4 players in (RB, LB, 2*CM) and maybe an experienced goalkeeper too.

I hope Hayden was signed on a one year deal.

Like Hubble it was my mum.

And it was a Yugo.

She scrimped and saved and bought it so I could learn to drive.

Got it to 103mph down hill on the A1. Smelled of petrol at all times.

The Bosnian guys at the car wash used to wash it for free for her.

He had that Zidane / Eze like ability (a comparison of type, not degree) to look like he had more time than everyone else, and knew instinctively where to put the ball. I was also very impressed with the cameo.

So weak. So often wrong side. Varane invisible. Edwards being bullied. Bunch of pussies.

I heard today that a mate’s firm expected to win the contract for re roofing loftus road. So they are spending some money on the old dear.

We have been overtaken by so many other clubs over the last two decades that were comparable or smaller. Palace, Fulham, Brentford, West Ham, Brighton, Southampton, Bournemouth, and that's just in the south. We are also competing for new fans with several of those clubs, plus Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs.

If we stay at Loftus Road, the reality is - barring a miraculous change of luck followed by a miraculous change of competence in exploiting that luck (more importantly) - that we will revert to mean of our income, stadium size, and history. That is mid-table in the third tier. Many of the children of current QPR fans will support, say, Arsenal, but say they have QPR as their second team in an affectionate patronising way - just like kids in Ipswich until very recently grew up saying they supported Arsenal or Liverpool. Now that third tier future is ok, and I'll still go. But I would like to aim a little higher.

Done right, a new stadium, just up the road, as part of a very well connected new development is an excellent plan. Those connections mean that we could become everyone's favourite away game too, swelling matchday income even more and making us more competitive (even if opposing fans would be annoying).

And if your match day tradition involves enjoying Bush before or after the game, it's only 15-20 minutes walk away.

Again though, the big question is doing it right. Can we make a model 30-35k stadium with great sightlines, but more importantly with the proximity and close atmosphere that makes the experience at Loftus Road so much better than at white hart lane, drayton park, or stratford.

Am beginning to feel quite excited about our chances next season
at 18:41 12 Apr 2026

Fullbacks will be key acquisitions for next season.

Hevertton has been playing for Gil Vicente, mostly from the bench but a few starts. GV are in 6th place in the top flight. I presume he won't come back, but hopefully that's enough that someone will pay us for him, or at least take on his contract.
