That sounds about right. We apparently paid (undisclosed fee) about £4.5m so triple that in 17 games for a club with parachute money.
Edwards' family, including him(?), are QPR fans. Would he really want to relocate toEast Lancs.? |

Santos and EDB I'll agree with you. Larkeche and Esqerdinha are more questionable. We will need cover for our Boy. So, unless Adjetey-Brew has jumped ahead, well probably need 1 of them. |

Look, given Celar's contribution of 2 goals in 24 appearances for us, plus a spectacularly poor loan last season, getting any money for him must be considered a plus.
It doesn't really matter if we got a transfer fee or just got his wages off our books. If the latter then there may be some scope to pay someone we want, but if the former it's a real boost to available funds. On top of Field and Cooper fees. |

I don't see Celar having been on 750k per annum, but it's possible and explains how the value may be 1.5m. Fabrizio Romano reported the fee as £1.3m. |

1st half we looked in complete control. First choice defence until Mbengue got injured?
Some neat passing and should have scored more than 2.
Missed the first 20 mins of H2 but it seemed much more casual and slapdash. Not many of the H2 team have made much of a claim for a start against Portsmouth. |

After 4 years or so when we've been reliant on Chair to provide our creativity, will he get in our first choice team, this coming season?
If we play 2 DCMs, we have Madsen, Varane and Morgan
Are we playing 2 or 3 ACMs? We will have Poku, Smyth, Vale, Dembele, Saito, possibly Sutton and Alameyhu. I'm not convinced Chair will start 30+ games [Post edited 15 Jul 16:03]

I think we have a good basis but we could get derailed by injuries. Mad Dog will start at RB, but I'm not convinced Adamson will be good enough. Even as a backup. Could get round that by moving Dunne or Edwards to RB and using the 3/4 backup CBs. Larkeche and Esquerdinha are OK covering Kemper but you wouldn't want them playing week in, week out.
Varane/Madsen/Morgan are a reasonable DCM choice but I'm not convinced about possible backups. |
