Drinks breaks are vital if the temperature is in the 30s. Unnecessary when it's low 20s.

Depends what you call significant. The average attendance last season was 16, 672, roughly 91% of capacity. Virtually every club that has moved to a new stadium experienced a boost in attendance. I think adding another 4-5,000 is very achievable.
Could we attract non-football events? Depends on accessibility. You ought to be able to add some but better non-match day usage could be a real boost to revenue. I know it's not comparable but Manchester United are the biggest caterer in their city.
The other side of the Profit & Loss is the maintenance costs. Loftus Road hasn't had a major overhaul in years and it shows. We can't even get the PA system upgraded.
Sure, there is competition from other London clubs, but the potential catchment area stretches from west of the Edgware Road round to north of the M4, at least 20% of the London area. The real key is to be successful. Start competing in the top half of the Championship or, in time, gain promotion and LR will really hold us back.
And, if you think you can get a new stadium for 100m you are badly underestimating. That would be the cost of the land alone. You'd need to multiply by 5 or 6 to be close to realistic. |

I thought PSR rules were brought in to prevent the likes of Bury, Macclesfield and others, more recently Sheffield Wednesday, from going bust.
It's more than time that the FA, the PL and the EFL cleaned up their acts and got tough on all those clubs that breach the regulations.
Sure, owners ought to be able to spend whatever they like, but not to the point of driving a club into the ground or distorting the competition so badly it becomes a farce. |

I think that is the right decision by the ECB, for once.
They should know the guidance, it's not the first time, either.
Despite what Michael Vaughan has said, Stokes was out of line. The investigation has not yet concluded, so it is probably just a temporary suspension.

The latest revelation is that US Immigration believes he had a link to a SUSPECTED terrorist member of Al Shabab, of which he said he had no knowledge.
When somebody can be refused entry on suspicions, why would any sane person willingly submit to that level of paranoia?

Without wanting to get political, the USA has granted between 6500 and 7000 asylum claim. 99% to white South Africans.

The Iranian team will be based in Tijuana, Mexico, although their 3 games are all in the States. On arrival, Each player was sporting a lapel badge with 168 on it. Representing the girls who died when the USA bombed a school in Iran.

On recent form, Stokes should be struggling to keep his place. But, other than Ahmed, is there an alternative all rounder? |

Football League World ( I know) suggesting we should be after Denis Cirkin, who will be leaving Sunderland this Summer.

I was told that, because they are no longer a PL club, the rent is being increased. Dramatically.
As to their ex Chairman, is it significant that he.made his initial money from the port industry? Its hard to believe that he could possibly be involved in anything to do with inappropriate behaviour, isn't it? |

I had similar on a ferry from Le Havre to UK. Kid behind kicking and screaming because his parents wouldn't go back to the car to fetch his gaming station. Dad was very patient with him, but the kid was lucky he didn't go for a swim in the harbour. |
