Saito had his moments - the big save in first half and hitting the post. But he got knocked off the ball far too easily on too many occasions.
Santos was awful but he needed some protection in front of him. Dembele doesn't do defending and Smyth wasn't a lot better.
Too many others didn't have the physicality to deal with a Hull side that really aren't anything special. |

I see Henry Hawkins, a Dev Squad CB, has been released. His contract was only extended in May. So it seems an odd decision
However, he's signed for Whitehawk in Isthmian League (tier 7) so it doesn't look like he'd ever make Championship level. |

Totally agree.
The ref took his time, quite rightly, but it looked a red all season long. Especially if you watch it from the camera that faces Varane. I cannot imagine any neutral quibbling about the colour.
If it had been a Blackburn challenge on Steve Cook, we'd have been screaming for a red.
Sure, Travis was screaming at the ref but Pawson was experienced enough not to to be influenced. As far as I could see, Baath was clutching his leg, well above the ankle.
Correct decision for me. The one I thought he got wrong, was Smyth's goal that was disallowed. Never a foul.

For all those quibbling that Varane's tackle (sic!) wasn't deserving of a red, ask yourself what card should have been shown if a Rangers player had been on the receiving end. |
