Count Binface interview on Sky News. 😂😂
at 14:30 21 Jun 2026

I noticed that Count B's Makerfield manifesto retained the commitment to move the hand dryer in the Crown and Treaty to a more sensible position from when he ran in Uxbridge.

You rarely see that sort of consistency in politics these days.

Sponsor free shirts: how to order
at 14:21 21 Jun 2026

For anyone interested in names/numbers/patches (BOWLES 10, obviously), I asked Chloe about personalisation, to which she replied:

"We’d try our best to do the printing for you before it reaches you, but it may be that this gets posted out to you blank when the other orders get sent out, and then you come into the Superstore to arrange the printing at a later date"

Summer transfer rumours 2026
at 17:59 31 May 2026

As I said further back, I've watched Sam a great deal over 3 seasons now - he's a great stopper and absolutely adored up here, but he distributes the ball in the same way I would a wasps nest - quick, anywhere at all, far, far away from me.

Stats: pass completion 48.3%, long ball accuracy 23.2%, which is marginally worse than a half-time round-the-pole contestant.

He's actually a pretty decent outfield player, so he can certainly kick a ball, and I'm sure some coaching would help here. A qualified 'yes' from me, given time is on his side.

Just to confirm that result, a fine victory for Lee, particularly as second-placed Frode has won in, I think, THREE previous years ( if he doesn't get a call-up for the BBC World Cup panel, I am going to stop paying my licence fee. Well, start paying and then stop again. That will learn them).

A special mention too for Nathan in third - well done to you, and indeed everyone who participated - thank you all.

For my own part, 157th is the new 16th.

Lee, if you dm me your details and choice of t-shirt, I'll get the open-top bus booked (you are welcome to the cash if you'd rather, though, of course).

See you all next term.

Play Off Finals
at 23:13 24 May 2026

Notts County win tomorrow, we're one season and a double promotion for Accrington away from starting again.

We'll do it properly this time - no admission for anyone south of Wolverhampton. Farewell Woolwich Arsenal. Au revoir Clapton Orient. We've already made a decent start getting shot of Thames Ironworks.

Final week for a desperate last push on transfers and triple captains if you still have them.

It is looking very much like a one-horse race for the title though, with Lee's Romiley R's over 60 points clear from Frode's Gluecifiers in second, thereby saving me a fortune in international postage charges.

Thanks, if I have not already said so, for so many of you taking part. It was only when I found myself trundling along in 150th that I realised we actually had 250 of us in the league. I might have to think about place prizes next season...

Sam Tickle is a decent enough shot-stopper, well-liked here and has a terrific attitude, but, and I say this with love, the lad's distribution, particularly kicking, is Rob Green standard. If that.

Whatever the direction of travel here, it is in no-one's interests to make out he would gladly pay his own fare from the bus-stop outside Craven Cottage rather than appear a valued asset, to be prised away from the club only grudgingly and at high price...

I think the standard witticism is the year that Princess Anne refused to present the winners' trophy after an equerry told her she'd have to kiss the cox of the winning crew.

A joke so old that Michael Macintyre is thinking of writing it.

What's the difference between a literalist and a kleptomaniac?

One takes things literally, the other takes things, literally.

Special mention for the kits last night
at 23:38 1 Mar 2026

Burnley v Brentford yesterday, burgundy/sky blue trim v skyblue/burgundy trim, another horror for those of us heading for full coke-bottle-bottoms bins...

Law 4 is pretty clear on kits, but Cov v Boro last week - both keepers wore identical full yellow kits, in contravention; so what, perhaps? Boro chasing the game late on send the keeper up for a corner - no idea which was which; how is a defender or a ref supposed to deal with this?

Three goalkeeping kits in the club shop - why does Walsh wear black with the ref in black?

Sorry, personal bugbear...
