Thought it was most definitely “a game of two halves”. We were definitely the better side in the first half and looked far more likely to score. Then, after half-time, Boro seemed to up their level of intensity dramatically and had us pinned back from the start. The substitutions made little difference and Seny had virtually nothing to do in the Boro goal. So maybe the burnout factor from Wednesday might be a reason and hopefully after a week’s rest they’ll be ready to go again. |

Need to get in to LR on Central Line from West Ruislip but looks bad at the moment. Severe delays and when you go on the plan alternative routes bit it advises walking to White City from East Acton. Anyone got any up to date information on what it’s like at the moment? |

Wasn’t aware of that Terry. Cements his “legend” status even more for me then. |

Perhaps immediate induction into the Forever R’s would be an appropriate gesture by the club to reassure Darnell that the utter kn-b giving him abuse was totally unrepresentative of the way the vast majority of fans feel. That is the first time I’ve ever seen an opposition player who has left and come back to play against us do what he did. |

Yeah but Johnston earned every bit of the abuse with his arrogant celebrations in front of the Loft. The bottle throwing was totally brain dead though and may leave the club open to sanctions. |

Can remember standing in the Loft for the home leg against Birmingham in the second half when Marsh broke away clear running towards us to slot in the final goal right in front of us. When it hit the net everyone must have finished up about ten rows down from where they started off! |

Was there with my Dad and younger brother and looking back on it now it seems almost like a fairy tale with the extraordinary come back against a first division side, the sea of blue and white and the chant of Rodnee echoing around Wembley after that amazing second goal. We’d moved from South East to North West London six years before and hadn’t really found a team to support. At the beginning of October my last cricket fixture of the season was rained off and my Dad said to us something like “fancy coming to QPR this afternoon. It’s third division but we won’t have to push to get in and they’re playing well and scoring lots of goals.” They beat Grimsby 5-1 that day and scored four in the next three home games with Morgan, Lazarus Marsh and Allen tearing teams apart and that was it! Why would you want to watch anyone else? |

Especially if we get the boost of a sell on fee from Eze being transferred to help him strengthen the squad. [Post edited 3 Mar 5:40]

Just watching those highlights that looked like a straight red card tackle by the Leicester player at the end just before Chair’s chance. Was he even booked? |

This morning’s Tube status update is saying severe delays on Central Line between West Ruislip and White City because of ( you guessed it) shortage of trains, so I think it’s going to be best to leave a fair bit of time for the journey. |
| Forum Reply | Is this, unexpectedly, a season to be savoured after all? at 13:38 7 Feb 2024
A season to be savoured? For the most part, for those who only make it to home games, it’s been more of a season to be endured, with the exception of the odd bright spots like Stoke, Hull and Millwall. |

Any supporter who had the immense misfortune to have been present at the 1-3 defeats by Sunderland and Coventry and the 0-4 drubbing by Blackburn will have been very grateful indeed for the job that Marti has done since he took over. Those performances were an absolute embarrassment and I’d just about made up my mind to not inflict any more of it on myself until Ainsworth went, season ticket or not. |

I know that “egg-chasing” as it’s sometimes referred to on here may not appeal to everyone but I can remember as an Englishman watching that great Welsh team of the early seventies and wanting them to win because the rugby they played was so breathtaking, like the 1970 Brazil of the rugby world. The fly-half Barry John was probably the greatest of all, a player of sublime skill and I could never understand why he decided to walk away from it at the age of 27. Apparently it was because he hated being famous! What a contrast that presents with the present day where fame or “celeb” status is the ultimate goal for so many |
