Very interesting analysis. I agree Kane has been much better at putting off the player in crosses recently. They must have been working on this as other teams often target his side. He can't outjump the player generally but still can do enough to put him off.

It would be pointless to hoof it up with our forward line, without Hughill to hold the ball up. Otherwise our forwards are tiny and Leeds backline is huge.

There may be times when they play it around a bit too much. But some fans get on their back immediately shouting at them to move it forward when they've only just got the ball. I can't think it's helpful and actually a bit off putting.

Can't believe he was given a red card for that.

I think he brought him on because Dallas had already been booked and they didn't want to risk another booking because they're terrified of BOS. In the event they got a red card anyway.

Sky as well. So biased towards Leeds, it was almost unclear that we were actually playing. But it is Sky Sports Leeds after all. They must be gutted as I imagine they thought it would be a guaranteed away win after last week's Brentford performance.

Nahki Wells handballed it off both arms. Accidental but you can't score any more if a handball is involved.

He was very dangerous. Kept two of their defenders occupied most of the match. Meant they had to use one of their subs who had to come off after being booked for fouling him.

It's so positive to see we're starting to find young, promising defenders now, as well as attacking players. Weirdly, it seems harder to do atm.

Very well. But Bamford is stealing a living at a reputed £2 million a year.

Why would you think he isn't, then? It's difficult if the problem is they're not good enough, rather than they don't work hard enough or try hard enough. It's like shouting at someone with dyslexia for not being able to read. Pointless and unfair. Obviously, you can improve but it takes time. Back to that patience word.

Where we can work on things is defending set pieces, for instance. It might be simple to say to each player, you mark X and just stick to that every time so no one gets missed ( I might be being naive here about whether this could work, but what I mean is find some simple rules for them to follow, so they can repeat it, every single time.

And if you think anyone will pay money for out of contract, injury-prone, and probably expensive Hall or Cameron, you're a lot more optimistic than I imagined. Manning, in an unfortunate twist of timing has gone off the boil/had his defensive frailties uncovered just at the point we could cash in.

We keep going round this merry go round and despite being told numerous times, it comes up again. Same with Charlie Austin, why didn't we get £20 million for a striker that only a couple of teams in the Premier wanted, who only wanted to go to a team in the south, who was out of contract in the next six months and who was prone to injury?

Of course Hoos and Ferdinand want to get as much as possible for players we're selling. But we're a bit hamstrung by what other teams are willing to pay. At least we're producing our own young players now instead of paying top dollar for old has beens that aren't interested. We've done some good business too, like getting money for Cole Kpekwa, who's barely played a game since. We also got reasonable money for Freeman too, considering he's also hardly played a game in the Premiership and we've got some good replacements for him in Eze and Chair this season.

Patience has got to be the strategy for the time being. And as Clive says, just because Warburton doesn't dig out individual players publicly, doesn't mean he can't see their shortcomings.

I'm afraid I agree with this. Wouldn't dig him out in matches or message him on twitter but we have to face facts, trying to help him play through it isn't working and is even a bit counter productive now as each time he makes a mistake he starts second guessing himself more. That seems to be the main problem, he's thinking through several possibilities for each situation, which means he ends up not reacting at all, which looks like a mistake anyway. Goalkeepers need to just react instinctively as there's no time to think things through. That's why he looks better as a shot stopper I think as there's no decision to make, you just try and save it.

Maybe it just wound me up then. I think we all know how stupid our board was and I don't think we need fans of other clubs telling us. And I think we're trying to change it so I'm not sure where all the hand wringing of the past is getting us. Shouldn't we be looking forward? And the poster at whom the remark was directed was actually praising Brentford for their strategy, so 🤷🏽‍♀️

We're a pretty welcoming message board for fans of other clubs, Konk our resident Fulham fan is a well respected and valued member, for instance. But it's really poor form to come in someone else's forum to wind up their fans, especially after you've just won.

Thank hell you're not running the club then.

We weren't humiliated. We were beaten, like Swansea (x2), Cardiff, Bristol City (4-0), Stoke, Wigan, Luton (7-0), Reading, Millwall, Barnsley, Derby (3-0), Middlesbrough, Millwall and Fulham. No it's not great. But we came back, didn't give up and I can see an improvement year on year.

Sometimes it seems like the fans are more guilty of giving up than the players. We've just had a 6-1 and 5-1 win. We're working on a shoestring and it will take a while to turn things round.
