Thread | I hate Bristol $hitty

Just letting off a bit of steam. Being a west countryman I know plenty of $hitty fans. One tagged me into a comment on FB about our fixtures and I mentioned there could be a lot riding on the one the last day of the season. He replied "what us going up and you going down? lol". Then his mate chips in with something about "Sheperds Bush gypos[sic]" still being in business by then, whatever that means. Can't stand football fans crowing before a ball has been kicked. Particularly can't stand the $hitty, who seem particularly prone to it. Love it when the Rs are singing "Your Welsh and you know you are", even though I was born and bred 40 mins from Bristol! Prefer the Rovers, probably cos I hate teams that play in red and also because of the close history between the Gas and QPR. Guess the $hitty doesn't evoke many emotions in most of you, but anyone who wants to cheer me up by putting the boot into them (figuratively, not literally you understand) will be more than welcome. |

As QPR fans we all now have this as a special date. We will all remember where we were, how we felt etc, but reading the I Cried!!!! thread it struck me what a special day this was already for a few people for births/deaths. As I was leaving the house for Wembley, my wife reminded me that we first met on a school trip to watch the Harlem Globetrotters at Wembley Arena 24th May 1979. Perhaps it was "written"! Not that I beleive in such bollocks but was it already a special date already for anyone else? |

Having supported the R's for nearly 40 years, I am making only my third trip up from Somerset to watch the Southampton game. I will be driving, so where is the best place to park? Is it best to park in a station and tube it in? What would be the best station from the M4? |

Adel's strike with the outside of his boot certainly deserved a goal and I think it was mentioned on TV that it would be "talked about for years". Got me thinking about that chance for Pele when he let the ball go passed one side of the keeper and ran around the other only to put his shot wide. Any others? |
