Another great team performance, hard to single any one out. Wycombe were competitive until we scored. Allen couldn't find much space in the middle but when he did get a chink of light what a goal, another for the goal of the season list.
Both centre backs did well on a bouncy pitch with a swirling wind and direct opposition. Once we scored the game opened up and the second was just a matter of time, a bit scruffy in the end but it showed the determination of all. Just a bit disappointed we didn't get a third!!!
Now for the big glass of wine to go with the smile

Good sign today was that we won without really playing that well. When we did manage to get the ball down and play we looked much better. Wycombe were poor, but their striker Styche(?) looked dangerous when he wasn't feigning injury and hit the post early on. First half we were getting partial joy down the left with Done playing well, but Rose giving the ball away too often/not finding the pass to put him back in, and we didn't have too many chances but their keeper pulled off a great save.
Second half Allen scored a cracker near the start and from then on we were on top and comfortable. Peter V added a scrappy second after it looked like the chance was gone. We could / should have probably added a third but they also piled on the pressure in the last 10. |  | | |
