if we had sold Done and then signed Fabien Brandy and Lazarus on frees then maybe people would be saying it was great business. Because we signed them first no one is mentioning them. Brandy in particular is an exciting signing. Maybe he will be better than done we don't know but in hilly I trust.

Had we signed JOC - I dont think anyone would have made a sound - the ambition of selling a player to bring in a real asset - excellent.
but no - we sell a player and say we have already made arrangements - in fairness thats great foresight and Hill is great at seeing whats going on and Done probably knew, Hilly knew, Directors knew, only one who did not know within the club was 1989 - who probably buys parking spaces at Giggle.
Having said that I am assuming JOC is going on around 4 - 5k a week, we cant offer that as will destroy squad mentality. I sort of undersatand it all but still - we are now a weaker team, 12th place is still good though I guess - as always ...... if only!!! |  |
