tomorrow can't come quick enough 14:17 - Oct 16 with 1997006 viewsbatman

Not for us, but for Bury.
i was credit checking a potential customer and decided to nosey onto
BFC's file and was (or maybe not) supprised to see a new CCJ for circa £22k lodged
only Wednesday this week.
looks like they are in need of a bumper crowd tomorrow to settle some bills

I think Dawson is getting a rough ride here.

You live within your means.

Regardless of how much someone earns, if your wages dropped 50% could you survive?

I’d have enough saved for a few months, but after that I’d cover my bills and probably just have enough to eat.

Just been reading the protest thread over there and no matter what your views on their plight it must have been fookin heartbreaking being inside Gigg for probably the final time. A couple of poignant photo's included..... Wouldn't want to be in the position where I walked onto the Sandy after 50 years knowing I might not get another chance....Rivalry and the wow wow wow brigade aside, seeing young kids losing their club is awful to witness......Thank fook we have been blessed with brilliant owners over the years...

Poll: Hill in or out? 2nd referendum.....

I've sympathy for anyone of them who wasn't there or didn't celebrate like they had won the lottery despite the huge financial doping that achieved that promotion.

If you take the points deduction off last season then I think they finished 11th.

There are some amazing comments in that video given what we now know has happened and crucially how it was funded.

At least Mansfield won today - they should have the place in this League that bury will be giving up later this week. I hope that they go up comfortably this season and right the wrong.

The fan's stories are all very sad but it'd all still be there, it just passes across to a phoenix club. That is assuming a) they're not saved at the eleventh hour, and b) they wouldn't mess up a phoenix club. (I still think they will be saved, but should it all fall down they'd certainly mess up any AFC Bury).

"All about me" - no mention of the creditors who have collectively lost millions via administration and CVA to keep bury fc alive for their family over many years.

Given the way they squabble with each other on their board, could you see any sort of phoenix club even getting off the ground?

Not from the start. You'd probably see a Bury Town FC, AFC Bury, 1885 Bury and some fans try to take over a local side to piggy back up a few divisions. They pretty much got a phoenix club in the early 00s and they've killed it within 20 years.

This is how I think their first season as a pheonix club would go:

Some mug will save them late in the day,I'd be very surprised if someone's not stupid enough to believe all the sob story bollox when the clock starts ticking down to closure. I hope for all the world they go bang but that's just my own view from years of listening to the brainwashed clowns.

You would like to think if they were to be saved there would be some humble pie, but sadly we all know within a couple of weeks they would all be gobshiting off how great they are and who they can sign on 10k a week. Unfortunately they will never learn. It’s a kin to being a Millwall fan it’s being past down the generations that it’s their right to act like a bellend one way of another. I find it all quite sad that they cannot see the wrong in any of it.

I can see someone coming in, saving them, saying they can pay the creditors, pay the CVA. Then they will realise they have to build a football league calibre team from scratch on top of all this and probably decide they can't and Bury will be back in the same position in the not so distant future.

We will know tomorrow - EFL meet to decide if the Tranmere away game is going to go ahead and its a week before their bank holiday home game vs Doncaster.

Pros - its the last chance saloon and if this game is called off its effectively the EFL saying goodnight on Monday to league football at bury. The EFL will want the game to go ahead, bury will want the game to go ahead. Tranmere will want the game to go ahead, since they will pummel bury.

Cons - the EFL have to be convinced that the game will be one of 46 and that bury have funds to get through the season, including the player debts from 2018/19 and the CVA agreed. They don't have anywhere near that currently. The EFL would have to release that money to Dale which is the last thing that they want to do.

My IMO view is that the Tranmere game has to be postponed late (8pm ish) tomorrow after a day of negotiating.

At that point, the EFL will throw the book at bury on Wednesday at this disciplinary commission and take more points off them; effectively relegating them. I think that will be at least another 8 points but it could be anything. Luton were hammered for the sentiment of the serial breaking of rules in 2008 and I think that same sentiment will apply here.

That would leave bury on Wednesday evening with:
* No game on Saturday
* No proof of funding but needing circa £3m to pay historic football creditors + the CVA
* Minus 20 (or thereabouts) so relegated

They'd then have 48 hours to persuade Dale to sell it as a going concern. He's now outed as an asset stripper who liquidates companies rather than run them.

Can a deal be done by Friday - IMO very unlikely. Any new bury is trying to catch a falling knife and given the lack of honesty and transparency if you needed to put in £3m to buy that then you've a lot of money to waste as you'll never see that investment back. The bury fans don't have £300 never mind £3m.

I also think Dale, after his chastising experience live on Talksport, will lay low. He was doorstepped good and proper by Jim White and Martin Keown live to the nation - he was naive to let that happen to him and I don't think he will make that mistake ever again.

And they have to convince the EFL all of that is true.

That will be the hardest point.

Once upon a time the "fit and proper person" test told the EFL what was "true".
After the chastening experience at bury, they quite rightly need better evidence of suitability. At ALL clubs not just bury.
If the EFL can be presented with a buyer at bury with proof of suitability, proof of funding for the season, funds to settle football creditors debts, and settlement of the CVA done in less than a week, that will be astonishing.

If not,

The Doncaster game isn't a Bank Holiday game, it's on Saturday 31st August, so I doubt its fate will be decided tomorrow.

Undoubted knowledge? Or just the application of common sense and using my brain?

Isn't there a charge on future EFL monies, which Dale signed up in March?
