tomorrow can't come quick enough 14:17 - Oct 16 with 2021712 viewsbatman

Not for us, but for Bury.
i was credit checking a potential customer and decided to nosey onto
BFC's file and was (or maybe not) supprised to see a new CCJ for circa £22k lodged
only Wednesday this week.
looks like they are in need of a bumper crowd tomorrow to settle some bills

The paint is still drying Ole at ManUre saying

"As a local club, we want to see local players do well and we've recruited players from those clubs and of course we want them to do well. And if there's anything we can help them with I'm sure we'll do that, with loan players or anything."

Now about that chap they let go to Southend.........

Unfortunately they are after a different kind of loan Ole.

It won’t end tonight if they’re kicked out of the league. If anything it’s just the start of the next stage.

EFL says there will be no extension, Bury will be removed from EFL membership and a further statement made tomorrow.

All that is assuming there is no 'late rescue' , but it would have to be more than 'a proposal'.

If , by some miracle they got saved...they would have a bunch of kids playing for them.
We therefore would have to put them to the sword say 8 or 9 nil just to rub it in.
Then of course boycott the away fixture since they cannot be trusted with money.
I better go and do some work , this is so much fun though :-)

There is an old and famous childrens' story called "the boy who cried wolf".

On every occasion that BFC has been in court over the last few weeks there have been postponements because it was claimed potential purchasers were about to complete a deal and yet none have so far come to fruition. I wonder why.

During the course of today we have witnessed claims that the club is free from debt as well as an appeal for pledges totaling £2.7m. How does that work then.?

The current owner when asked if he was an asset stripper claimed that he wasn't, saying "how can you strip something that's got nowt". I wonder why all those potential purchasers would be interested in buying "nowt"

Today Mr Dale says he wants to stay and see through saving the club. Last week he was saying he had enough and wanted to sell.

It's like trying to plat sawdust.

Been in my local since 3pm so might be the ale typing. I really feel sorry for those fans that saw through Day and Steve's bull. Those that knew the ride was riddled with rimusty bolts and a track that had massive gaps. The worrying thing is the media have not highlighted this as it should be a warning to all clubs.

Just seen Steve Dale on the BBC. He's a sound guy. They were going to go bust, he jumped in and kept them going. I think they are blaming this one man for everything that has happened since 1903, from when they were a big club, to now when they are , err, not.

More lazy journalism from the BBC, this time from the obnoxious drip Roger Johnson. Why didn't he just ask the bloke from Bury why they're in this position in the first place. Pillock.

‘My final post on the subject of Dale. I don't for one second believe he ever had, and has beaten, leukemia but if that does happen to be true I hope it returns and does the job second time around.’

‘as for Dale, I hope illness doesn’t get him. I hope it’s a damn sight more painful than that.’

‘..however much of a thug he's been in his life, he literally hasn't got a clue about the tsunami that will hit Prestbury.’

Classy people, this Bury lot.

Really?

The loans were coming from companies called Cash4Assets. David Conn wrote an article in a national newspaper questioning how Bury were paying 138% interest on such loans!

I absolutely agree BD, and as I did say in the post, "its appropriate to question Jill Neville's oversight of Bury", including the wage bill. But that's not the point I was making. BFC was clearly not operating within its means, but there was (for a time) cash covering the outflows, and certain people who have unfortunately been able to build positions in business on the back of bullsh*t (such as SD1) clearly have an ability to get people onside. I've dealt with many of them in my own career. As an example, there will have been plenty of supposedly smart people in commercial lending departments at several UK financial institutions who were also sufficiently satisfied with SD1's business "acumen" to throw money at Mederco, and they will likely have had a damnsight more experience in capital markets and lending practices than Jill had.

By no means am I saying she's blameless (far from it), I'm just making the point that things aren't as black and white as they seem. JN could (and probably should) have retired years ago on the back of her sons' success, but decided to continue helping the club she loves, even after losing her husband. In my opinion, she was probably too personally close to the club to be sufficiently objective as a club secretary needs to be, but sadly love is blind...

What inconsiderate charlatans.

Their club needs £2.7m tonight and they are down there stripping the bones of the carcass and asset stripping the club.

And they have the audacity to call Steve Dale!

In fact, where have these muppets been for the last months and years ? Another futile ploy to muddy the waters. Just get on with it EFL..

That half hour on the BBC was the most one sided debacle I've ever seen. Auntie claims to be balanced and impartial,

Not in this case. They played the victim card for 30 minutes and glossed over CD's suggestion that they'd been over-spending.

If this was a big corporate facing closure, the beeb would be digging up the history to find out why. EG: British Steel, anything with Philip Green's fingerprints, anything that could be blamed on the government.

One thing I would agree on with the buckets is that SD1, whatever the outcome, needs to be smoked out of hiding, and put on trial. I tend to agree with a lot of what SD2 says regarding what he inherited. SD1 is the biggest villain here and I suspect has used bury as some 'front' for commercial fraud.

Poll: Who do you think bury should appoint as their next manager?
