At the Lollapalooza festival this weekend. Sunday looks great but don't know any of the Saturday bands except the hives. I like punk, metal, fast paced music. I have options of
The roots, LP, Yellow claw, imagine dragons, London Grammar, Martin Solveig, The Weekend and Tcham
Anyone seen any of these live? Any of them good? ( Sunday on the other hand is The editors, Red hot Chilli peppers, The Pixies, Lliam Gallagher, Lana del ray,)

The only person I've heard of on the list is Martin Solveig, who's a bit like a French Norman Cook DJ thing. He's made some good songs, but not your cup of tea Mark.... Probably

I don't listen to bands but I do listen to EDM so I can fill you in on Tchami, Solvieg and Yellow Claw. Tchami is a french house music producer/dj, probably the best house music dj out there and is fantastic live. Solveig is also a great dj and is a bit more mainstream and easier to listen to then Tchami. Yellow Claw are absolutely awful, they play generic trap music and they spend more time shouting down the mic then actually djing. However if you think electronic dance music is a load of crappy noise and button pushers aren't your thing i'd stay clear of all 3 of these

I think Rival Sons on Sunday might float your boat
A bit torn on Sunday as I have the chance to see Chris Froom win the Tour de France and be part of the crowd on the Champs Elysees. That means missing Rival sons, Liam Gallagher and the Editors ( I really like the latter and have never seen them live).
To the other posters - Thanks for the tips. I will probably spend Saturday going between the sets without watching the whole of any set in particular other than the Hives. Have my 14 year old daughter with me and I think Day 1 will be more her stuff ( It is Imagine Dragons she wants to see!! - Never heard of them) . I am quite open minded on music beyond my favorite genres and can listen to quality musicians live even if not the type I will buy.
Should be a good weekend although it has just started to rain FFS
Thanks Again
