Not sure if its been mentioned in any of the other threads but did anyone else think Rovers made great use of the timeout they called after about 20, 25 minutes yesterday?
From their goal kick, their number 30 (I think) goes down before it can be taken and needs 'treatment', nearly every one of their players goes over to the touchline to listen to how the manger wants it changing . Kick is taken, he sprints on and the game changed from us dominating the game to two fairly even sides.
Never worked out what they actually changed been it worked a treat for them. |  | | |  |

I did wonder about that, and there was a definite shift in the game following that team-talk. Before that we were pretty dominant and it seemed only a matter of time before we scored again, but after that, as you said, it became much more even. It reminded me of a basketball or hockey match when the manager can just call a team-talk whenever he wants. |  | | |

Seen this many a time before, particularly remember Swindon doing it and surprise surprise Darren Ferguson Posh doing it. Cheating, dead simple.
Ginger took a bended knee as Brizzle are getting run ragged and 8/11 players (I counted) went over for a team debrief.
Reshuffle straight away and Brizzle then possibly had the better of the next 70 minutes. Their midfield had been very central, it spread across more as they went very 4-4-2 rather than 5-3-2 to my eyes. |  |

Why was Gaffney not sent to the dug-out for treatment? He had not been crocked.......the physio came to him in the centre circle and did n't seem to do much.......a ploy that worked to Rovers advantage with the team talk. |  | | |

This is another example of where soccer should take follow initaitive of rugby and treat the player on the field or off the touchline as appropriate to let the game continue. The ref should be the judge. This sort of trickery should not stop play. | | | |

Look at how many times Andy Thorpe has to go on the pitch to treat one of our players, maybe once every three games.Our players are far too honest, and that sadly, counts for nothing these days. Any player that needs treating on the pitch should automatically get sin binned for ten minutes after he's been treated, that may reduce the number of "serious injuries" that the game is held up for. |  | | |
