Watch how Ali deliberately sticks his right leg out to catch Mcgahey who had pulled out of the tackle and whose feet were planted. It should have been a free kick to us and a booking at the very least for Ali. | |

It is a penalty. Yes he made the most of it and lillis was picking up the ball, but there is contact.
The problem was that Hendo was clattered from behind as he was about to pull the trigger. The referee wasn't bad but to me we could and should have had at least one penalty |  |

It was a penalty as the referee gave it. But, I suspect the FA`s mantra was for Madley to make sure the right team won and he almost made it. Alli was going over the moment he lost control and McGahey knew no amount of arguing would change Madley`s mind. It is testament to Dale that Spurs had to resort to dirty tricks to gain an advantage. Had things been even, we would have won 2 penalties, but then that would have been an embarrssment to the FA and Premier League, both of which are as bent 9 bob notes. Danny Rose will have a sore arse in the morning due to the number of times he fell/dived on it was unbelievable. I have never been so proud to be a Dale fan as I am this evening. Every player was superb and if they can perform anywhere near that on Wednesday night (in front of a quarter of those there today), then we should dispatch MK from whence they came.
