I really don't think it's as simplistic as that. Tickets won't be sold at the same rate each day. Over 1,000 in one day is great but that's because it was the opening day of sales. Similarly there will be a huge amount sold on Sunday when they go on open sale. Other than those two days though we won't be seeing the same amount sold every day.
It's just like over the summer when people were predicting how many STs we'd sell based on the first few days of sales and the predictions ended up being wildly off. |  | | |

I think it’s pretty linear Shun.
Two periods of sale, ST and general - over six days - with the former capped at 2 per ST, so roughly 4,000.
We know that 2,500 have gone so far (10am earlier post) and that some ST holders have been holding off to sit with friends tomorrow.
We’ve also selling multi channel tomorrow for the first time in this sale. That will be big. 2,500 are just visitors to Rochdale plus what are sold on the phone today.
The first period of sale will leave around 4,500 tickets.
Gut feel tomorrow says BIG queues of people who all want to sit together. That could take a couple of thousand out in a couple of hours.
Add to that callers from all over the place and if we do 500 calls in a day tomorrow that’s another 1,000.
Suspect we will be sold out by close of play Monday and it would be good if the club could give a numbers update early tomorrow AND at the end of tomorrow. |  |

It's GREAT to be going back 10 years later in these circumstances - not a football league trophy final or play off final - Absolutely no pressure so just go out and enjoy the occasion - both players and fans. If we could score a goal it would be an awesome moment. |  |

Yep we were never gonna sell 7500. Still surprised by the ticket limit tbh. No need for it. On of the other issues with this fixture is the fast turnaround it's unplanned expenditure for people.
I think close to 5000 if that's how it ends up is a pretty effort. | |
