Why is it away tickets can't be purchased online? I have an account linked to my season ticket, is it a club or EFL rule?

My guess is it maybe a software compatibility thing. Home tickets are linked to specific seats (or spaces in the sandy) which can be self selected and cross referenced and sold/removed from sale, even if there is no obligation to sit in that seat at the game.

Away tickets need cross referencing when sold and are generally sold in order on the reems supplied so there are no specific selections possible which maybe the system can’t handle plus each away game would need a new ground model to track seats sold/available which is probably a bit of faff.

Thank you that makes sense.

Excuse my obvious ignorance, but why is it an all ticket game? There`s no way it`s going to be a full house,so what`s the point? All this stress getting tickets is completely unnecessary. Why can`t Dale supporters get tickets from Wembley, who`s to know?

I'm sure I read that capacity is capped for certain (midweek) games at something like 39k so could well be a "full" house, there is a real need for tickets to be allocated etc I'm guessing

Thank you for explaining this, but I`m more confused than ever. Why only "certain games" restricted to 39k,surely that`s a restriction of trade for Tottenham? I`m sure they wouldn`t dare trying to cap Old Trafford at 39k when they play Seville next week,so what`s the difference? I will remain baffled, but hope all those Dale supporters who`ve been lucky enough to have got a ticket enjoy the match and the experience, occasions like this only come around once in a lifetime. I`ll certainly be watching from the other side of the world,as I`m sure all expat Rochdalians will be. Go The Dale!!

The limit's just over 50,000 I think. It was a compromise between the club and the local residents with the added pressure on local transport etc when there's a game on.

Thank you,one of those things Spurs had to cop maybe in order to play there until their new ground is built? Have a great night anyway.
