Doncaster render traditional hoops obsolete:
Home: 5/10, a reasonable idea spoilt by the absence of a dominant third colour. It’d be a 7 or 8 with black shorts and socks. The white becomes overwhelming.
Away: 3/10, it’s like a Global Hypercolour t-shirt but not as good. Far too much red too. First thought should be a total avoidance of any clash.
Everton bring back the Umbro diamonds:
8/10, the different types of blue fabric work really well and that collar is nice too. The diamonds trim almost makes up for that ba&tard Angry Birds logo. Almost.

Plymouth away: 6/10, quarters are something different from Puma but Plymouth don’t look great in a shirt that brings thoughts of Bristol Rovers. Plus it’s a different shade of green to their other green, so what will they wear when they play at Yeovil in a cup tie?
Port Vale:9/10 for the shirt which is glorious, but those socks are stupid with the amber panel on the back. I get infuriated with over-complicated socks. Nike started it and it’s the work of the devil.

Hull: 9/10. Possibly tempted to go for a maximum too. Why? Not only have they come up with a whole new slant on stripes by having a ‘double stripe’ on the shirt, but they’ve replicated it on the socks. I repeat, IT’S REPEATED ON THE SOCKS.
Bolton: 8.5/10. Looks bloody brilliant alongside the shorts. Shadow stripes always look good on white shirts (see Dale’s plain white Spall shirt, 84/85). | |

My 2 favorites went out in round ( Netherlands & Mexico)
My 2 for the final are now England 66 away kit ( the one that knocked out Netherlands in the last round) and Italy 90 home kit ( knocked out Mexico). Wales 58 not bad

The Belgian shirt was a runaway winner. Even better when combined with white shorts with the same trim.
The whole tournament was flawed with some bizarre entrants; South Korea in that god awful Nike template v a Chile outfit that was mundane at best, the England ‘66 shirt might be iconic but it’s rubbish. Where was Romania ‘94? Why was France ‘82 chosen over their ‘98 kit which was a throwback to the legendary ‘84 Euros winning shirt?

I know it's yellow and not orange, but I think that design is too reminiscent of Hull to represent Watford, especially as a first kit
