Is it too early to start the annual release list? 14:45 - May 1 with 2581 viewsBigKindo

Oxford United have decided to release eight players when their contracts expire at the end of the season.

Agon Mehmeti, Wes Thomas, Aaron Martin, Dwight Tiendalli, Mike Williamson, James Roberts, Josh Ashby and Ivo Pekalski

I think we have released players before the end of the season in the past. I assume as it is all to play for they have decided this year to wait, but it wouldn't surprise me if they announce it next week

From that list, the only one's I'd keep are McGahey & Cannon. Although I think McGahey will be on his way.

I'd want an update on Keane's injury because if fully fit he is a good player. If we dropped to L2 I think Kitching would be good enough

Surprised to see Cannon on that list....I hope we are trying to retain his services?

His recent injury may reduce other Club's interest in him but no doubt he will have a few suitors lurking.

Agree rest need to go pronto.

I wouldn't be going anywhere near Keane. He's a decent enough player when fit but that's not been anywhere near enough and he's also a walking red card at times

An obvious 3 to go from that, 2 to stay regardless of the league we find ourselves in, 2 we need to stay if we stay up, and 2 who will be a flip of the coin as to what happens as we don't know Hills feelings on/fitness.
